My Galaxy S23 never crashes. Neither did my S22. And also, unlike my MME, my phone gets timely and regular software updates and improvements (BC 1.3 *cough* still waiting). I'm not an "Android is better than iOS" person but I certainly don't believe the reverse is true either. With how often it crashes, yeah.
Tesla has been at the pure BEV game longer than Ford. It also pulled an Apple by controlling the hardware and software for both its cars and how they are charged (had little choice at the time). It has had years to refine things as well. So of course the new user experience is better.
I'm definitely more of a tech geek than most. I stream flac audio files in my car using Plex from a Synology NAS in my living room (for example). I also have over 40 IoT devices at home. At one point, I tried using Wemo(Belkin) products in the mix. They were such crap (hardware and software) as to be unusable and I swapped everything out. This is to say, I have limits on putting up with poor technological implementation. Yes, the MME software is janky but it is not unusable. If it were, I would have swapped out my car within the first few months of ownership, just like I did with the Belkin crap.
I'm cautiously optimistic that Ford will continue to improve the software on the car.
