Hi! First post here. Have a 22 Premium ER RWD. Same issue with my MME after the same power up OTA. The problem has been ongoing about a month. I didn't dive into the diagnostics like you, but can say any L2 charging has amounted to less than half energy gain than previously. My detached 1 car garage becomes warmer than my actual home every night. Cooling fans and active air shutters on all the time at home and at public L2 chargers. I end up trickle charging, because there's a net positive energy gain, but not much. I reached out to Ford EV and they said schedule a service visit, but this was prior to the issue being well known. I am holding until a new OTA resolves the issue, since I can still charge. Only silver lining is no additional energy has gone into pre-conditioning prior to leaving for work every morning haha.

Like the majority of us, my 2021 Job 1 was stuck on 6.1.0. Two weeks ago the new OTAs started arriving.

in order : 6,2,1. - 6,3,0. - 6,4,0. - Priority Update 23-PU0722-DC-CHG3. - and then, 6,2,0 ??

In short, it's currently impossible to charge on a L2 charger

Has someone already had this problem?

Do you have any suggestions?

too bad we can't 'undo' update to get back to last stable build.

...all this is making me glad I turned off auto-update months ago; I'm sitting at 4.3.4 .

For a point of data my ‘23 GT is is on 6.7.0 and the + 6.2.0 re-release and I haven’t seen this with my L2 EVSE. So it might be only certain years. Hope it is fixed for y’all before the holidays.

Don't just chat here. If you are affected, call Ford and try verbal arm twisting. Let them know that the no/slow charging will affect real peoples travel. If it's fixable by an OTA, let them know it's urgent. If it's a dealer fix, it's best implemented by a CSP providing remedial procedures. Ask for this, too.

It sucks to hear about these troubles. I will also add my own data point to help those with more context debug. My 23 GTPE is on 6.8.0 and L2 charging has been fine.

I haven’t received any unnamed or priority updates afaik, although not all updates send a message in FordPass.

Can you folks tell me how i can tell what software versions(s) I have? I was stuck at 6.1 (I think), then saw a 6.7 update message in Ford pass, then got the Priority Update 23-PU0722-DC-CHG3 last night that this thread is discussing. When I go to software updates on the display, that last one is all it shows. Is there somewhere else to look?

Not. Thrilled.
I’m currently on the chg3, but will lose my cool if I end up with this feature as well.

There's no such thing as "urgent" when it comes to OTA's and Ford.
We're not talking about a nasty little bug here. We're talking about a major bug that's causing my car to no longer charge.

I hope that for once Ford will understand that It is urgent to correct the problem that they themselves created.

I understand. I'm just being honest about how Ford operates.

If it's not something that can be fixed at a dealer by reinstalling the update and it ends up being a revised OTA I would say that you won't see anything for at least 2-3 months.

They have to replicate it, diagnose it and patch it. Ford moves really slow. They aren't Tesla or Rivian (who fixed a borked update in less than 24 hours) last month.

Well my car is doing the same on L1 and low power L2 (3kw) and loses SoC overnight, from 86% at 2:00am down to 81% at 6:00am while “charging” and heats up my garage and increase garage’s ambient temp like 5-6 degrees.

I also got 6.2.0 after I got 6.6.0, now I’m on 6.7.0

@Ford Motor Company is it expected?
Same! My garage is 65F and ambient is 41F!!! Plus, it sounds like a freight train in there!

So it thinks it's plugged into DC charger when it's actually only an AC, nice...

What EVSE are you using? Tesla by chance?

You got 6.6.0 on Thursday which is the new charger software.
Is there a known issue with Tesla L2 wall connectors?
