My local dealership keeps texting me about a recall on my car. According to Fords website I have two. the High Voltage Battery one (23S56/23V687) which they don't have parts for yet (just read a post that says available in limited quantity) :oops: I am RWD so I don't see a need to steal the limited quantity parts from people who really need them.

23B50 - Charge cord stuck reprogram battery charge control module - I read that is coming in an OTA update. 6.6 but I am at 6.13.0 which is past 6.6 (but I have learned that doesn't mean much) long story short can someone tell me if I have the update? If I still need it how critical is it that I do this at the dealership vs waiting for the OTA update? I very rarely DC charge if that makes a difference.

VIN: 3FMTK3R72NMA24227

Thanks in advance.

No powertrain updates in this list. Looks like 6.6.0 took care of the 23B50 thing for you.

Hello! Can someone look into mine? 3FMTK3SU5MMA42851

My dealer says they completed the work below, but it took them approx. 30h. It sounds too good to be true.

* Recall 23S56 (HBVJB)
* CSP 22B28 (HVAC config)
* CSP 23B50 (reprogram battery charge module)

Open FSA's on your car are:
  • 22P31 REPLACE THE ELECTRONIC PARKING BRAKE HARNESS CONNECTOR
  • 23B50 CHARGE CORD STUCK REPROGRAM BATTERY CHARGE CONTROL MODULE
  • 23P08 DOOR CONTROL MODULE UPDATE
  • 23S56 HIGH VOLTAGE BATTERY JUNCTION BOX HVBJB REPLACEMENT AND POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE PCM, BATTERY ENERGY CONTROL MODULE BECM, AND SECONDARY ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC CONTROL MODULE C SOBDMC SOFTWARE UPDATE
22B28 is not showing for your car. I see no indication that any module updates were performed on your car. It shows a network test was done with FDRS, but no module updates were attempted. I also looked at vehicle history yesterday and nothing was done yesterday, either.

I just got the car back and they said 22B28 was done a while ago. They did 22P31, 23P08, and 23B50, but their system might take 2-3 days to sync.

23S56, as we know, will be done in waves. I wasn’t expecting to get it done now, but the way they told me over the phone that they “completed all recalls” sounded like this one was done too, which raised my eyebrows. My advisor said that parts are starting to show up and my model will probably get its turn in Q2 or Q3/2024.

Vehicle history as far as FDRS goes usually is recorded in real time, but I guess stranger things have happened.

New to me GT. FordPass doesn’t work and it seems it hasn’t gotten an update in a while. Dealer can only look at it in one month. I wonder if I should update the TCU or GWM myself to see if that works.

Welcome to the forum. Last OTA you got was 5.1.1 on 9/25. Since then, 6.1.0 has been sent 4 times, but the OTA trigger timed out every time since the vehicle was not being used. When an OTA trigger is created for a vehicle, there is a 7-day windown where the vehicle has to be started in order for the OTA to activate and go through it's motions. Last time it was sent to your vehicle was 13 days ago. Hopefully you get another one sent to you soon.

You mentioned doing updates yourself. List of modules pending updates is below. If you do have the equipment to perform updates, I would hold off a bit before paying the $50 for FDRS. It is believed that a newer and better version of Bluecruise is going to be released sooner than later. Hang around this area of the forum and you'll know when it is out. If you have permanent access to FDRS, then you might as well start updating now because the list is long.

Okay thanks.
doesn’t make sense to buy an FDRS. ?
GWM updates are important because they have been known to unlock other updates.

Thank you, this make sense as the car was sitting on a dealer lot for a while. My Fordpass does not connect either (I have done all the typical trouble shooting)so if I do not get sent the GWM update again shortly, I think I should pay the 50$ and try and push the GWM update. Without Fordpass it is harder to manage the charging, and preconditioning. Especially since I am in Canada. ?
