Given when you purchased the car I'm confident you're not aware that a couple of years ago there was a famously failed OTA (PowerUp 1.7.1) that caused literally thousands of cars to get "stuck" where they couldn't receive updates OTA and until they took the cars in to be diagnosed it just stayed that way.

Ford realizing they had a problem created a TSB procedure and added steps in FDRS (that required special USB and network adapters for the tech's laptop) to essentially 'side-load' into the APIM and clear out the corrupted data that was causing the problem.

Failing that, the other option was to replace the APIM outright with a new one and then just perform all the updates using FDRS to get the car back up to currency.

Part of the problem that may not be apparent to you yet...is that becasue your Sync (APIM) rev is so old.....other software updates that you should have by now have not been made available to your car through OTA or FDRS because of software dependencies. Meaning a shed-load of updates would miraculously appear in FDRS for your car (and/or likely as OTAs) right after your got that APIM (or GWM or TCU) unstuck. The special procedure used in FDRS to make this happen is the "Module Update Repair":
Module_Update_Repair.webp

You need the service department to look into this and you may want to call the Ford Customer Service line first to have them open a case with your dealer. Having Sync 134 is only part of the problem....your software situation means no future updates will be forthcoming and you will never get BC to work (whether you think you'd use it or not). There are a lot of other software improvements (charging, powertrain, bluetooth, etc.) that you probably have not gotten because of this issue.
I was not aware of the PowerUp 1.7.1 issue until going down this rabbit hole of issues and taking a look at what you all have been telling me. Slowly but surely I'm starting to put together the pieces.

I'm going to give Ford a call shortly to talk about this.

Yep, it wasn't very clear to me which cars had BC and which didn't. I read somewhere it should be listed on the window sticker and I checked mine and didn't see it (very well could have missed it). On top of that, they said it should come up in the "Connected Services" if you have it and mine didn't, so I just chalked it up to not having the hardware for it and didn't look into it too much further. It wasn't a dealbreaker to me to not have it, but had I known I had it I would have tried a little harder to get it. It was interesting to me because I know some people mentioned the cars that don't have BC don't have the eye monitoring system behind the steering wheel (don't know if this is true), but I checked and mine definitely does.
It hasn't shown up in your Connected Services probably because the original owner never got the car repaired/updated to enable it.

And on the window stickers at that time it would have been called "Ford Co-Pilot360™ Active 2.0 Prep Package", not BlueCruise. That term hadn't really been invented when your car was produced.

Hmm, I don't see that name either.

I just pulled the window sticker and I see no mention of Bluecruise. Very weird why a dealer would try to activate it, but I digress.

I had someone with more knowledge take a look at your car. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but your car does have issues. First thing that stood out is that the SOBDMB (one of many modules in your car) is not reporting to the module network. That alone will prevent updates from showing. I suggest you try the dealer route first. I don't want to overwhelm you or ruin your experience with your new car. You are fortunate enough to have come across a good community with many knowledgeable and helpful people. In the meantime, I would become familiar with FORScan. If you hit a dead end with the dealer, it can be fixed, but it will require unconventional methods.

Interesting, that's not on my window sticker...
I think he was using that as an example of what to look for.

Mike just pointed something out to me that your car would have not have an SOBDMB since it is RWD. Stand by while I dig deeper.

I ended up calling Ford and they pretty much said the same thing you all have been saying. She said the car hasn't received an update since December of 2021...

She also says my car should have BC and that the dealer attempted to activate it, so it should be showing up for me.

I'm due for the HVBJB recall so I'm going to tack on all these issues too.

I do have FORScan now - just received my OBD-II scanner yesterday. I was playing around with it earlier today. I saw the error with the SODCMC, but not the SOBDMB (this does not show up for me, which may be part of the issue).

I am still learning the Mach E. Mike messaged me and told me your car does not have an SOBDMB because that module is exclusive to AWD models. I am still working on trying to see why you don't have any updates showing.

Ah, got it. Yeah, now I'm confused if I should have BC or not. I have the Comfort Package (no mention of Technology Package).

My apologies, but without direct access to your vehicle, I've hit a dead end as far as trouble shooting your car's issue(s). Hopefully you have a dealer that will be willing to tackle this issue. I believe that the problem will be beyond the scope of knowledge of any employee at the dealer level and they will have to involve Ford engineers. Due to the nature of your problem and FDRS not showing any relevant updates, I think it will be difficult for you to even convince a dealer that your car has a problem.

If you hit a dead end, to fix it will require not only FORScan, but FDRS, as well. If you do end up coming to that bridge, we will cross it when you get there. Good luck.

Thanks for all the help! I've scheduled an appointment with my dealer for the HVBJB recall as well as these issues. I mentioned that when I called Ford they recommended the dealer involve engineering support, so hopefully they will.

I really appreciate all the help from everyone on this forum. Here's to hoping the dealer will help me fix the issues, but not really holding my breath based on what people in this forum have said!

If not, I'll have to look into getting (or borrowing) all the equipment for FDRS. Hopefully it doesn't come down to that.

I am on 6.13 but I still have the CSP 23B50 notice for the charge cord getting stuck

Could someone please check my VIN ( 3FMTK4SE1PMA04617 ) and let me know if I really need to take it in or if it's just a formality and the correct modules have been updated.

I'm curious if mine has any updates available for the RGTM. I have a 23 with the tailgate not opening correctly sometimes issue. Apparently some people have gotten a priority update that fixes this but I haven't received anything since 6.13.0. VIN is 3FMTK3SU8PMA67330
