Long Term Review - Are you still happy??

I have a '21 Job 2 Premium AWD / ER and I love it... My only issue so far was the Charge Port Door Freezing and the lock breaking. Apparently common and the part was hard to come by and my dealer wanted me to wait over 2 months for an appointment. Went to a different dealer, they sourced the part for me and was able to get me in about a week later.

Yes the depreciation of the vehicle is really concerning for sure. I don't see that getting better anytime soon if ever.

Ford Pass is a Dumpster Fire that Ford seems to want to make worse and worse with every update. I swear when I got my First Mach-E the App was leaps and bounds better than it is almost 3 years later, they've removed features can't even get the data properly presented and no way to get any kind of history is a joke this far in.

What is really getting me is the cost of electricity where I live in Massachusetts, every year our cost keeps going up. We are now getting close to 30¢/kWh which is 40% more than last year (generation cost / not delivery). Add in that we went from Per Minute Fast Charging which cost me between 10-15¢/kWh to now a per kWh charge which Electrify America just jacked up to 63¢/kWh here. Are you freaking kidding me?

Unfortunately we can not get solar so the cost to charge is way more than our ICE Baby Bronco (with current gas prices of course) and power will just keep going up.

I have another year left in my Options and more than likely won't be keeping it and don't see myself going with an EV again until I can move somewhere with cheaper power of I can get Solar.

2022 Nov built CRT1 twith 15K miles. Great car drives awesome and quiet. Minor nitpicking issues include slowness of FordPass app, bouncy ride and car charges slowly in hot weather. My other car is LR 2023 MY but I keep reaching to drive my Mach E!! Wish both cars had ventilated seats!

2 and a half years and I love it as much as I did on day 1. It's still a unicorn in my parts so seeing another one on my commute is exciting. Usual minor warranty things that were taken care of without issue. My main complaint is Ford support (not the dealer) if they have to open a ticket. The front line people are good but when it escalates to the ticket level, be prepared for total silence. I've had 3 tickets opened for different issues, and none of them ever got resolved, or picked up for that matter, as nobody ever reached out to me on any of them. Ford needs to work on that. I hope more dealers get more EV techs trained so future service visits can be done in a day not a week. Overall, I don't regret buying this vehicle. It's still a blast to drive. I feel Ford did very well with their first major EV release.

Owned since May 2021, 44000 miles. I really love my car, but I hate the infrastructure and I'm worried about future growth and adoption of EV's hampering my ability to roadtrip through the Midwest.

The winter months are especially stressful.

I’ve had mine 3 years and ~ 60k miles.
-Suffered through the initial 12v charging issues which stranded me more than once (12v management is still poor in the cold IMO).
-I was stranded recently due to a parking brake failure\recall.
-Windshield/roof recall, door lock tsb, charge port issues, and is now at the dealer for the newest HVBJB, etc.
-While I recognize no car is perfect, my First Edition has been less reliable than my previous 3 EVs. Worse still, each of the many recalls\problems has resulted in weeks at the dealer, due to novelty of the issue, parts shortages, EV tech shortages, etc.

At least for me, problems that don’t strand me in the cold or can be quickly fixed by the dealer are more tolerable. If it hadn’t dropped so much in value over the last 8 months (Ford had ~9 months of Mach-e in inventory in December), I would be driving an AWD Lyriq with SuperCruise right now.

All that said, my MMe is the best looking, longest range EV I’ve owned so far. I simply wasn’t patient enough to wait for the next-gen EVs (BMW iX or the Lyriq, or even a job2 MMe). In that regard, I suppose my MMe wounds were self-inflicted.

1 year to the day. 11,000 miles in that year. Not my favorite of 45 vehicles but it’s pretty high up there, top 25% for sure. I’ve had some freaking great cars in my life.

JSW - you need to get on the Lyriq forum. A Lyriq was my first choice - until I realized that how use the lemon laws, get a dealer buy back, why is my Lyriq sitting in a far off storage yard instead of being delivered, bugs, it spends most of the time at a dealer service center. Those are some of the more popular threads.

There is a big difference between new technology not being perfect, and being on the bad side of 'bleeding edge'. In my case, the Lyriq was simply not a viable option for someone not having 2 or more cars. It was also obvious, that while the MME is not perfect, it has been satisfactorily reliable for most people. Hence my decision.

Just over two years at this point. 15.8K miles. The best commuter car I have owned. Second favorite car of I don't know how many because I've forgotten (mostly used cars - I had 7 concurrently at one point). Aside from a couple of recalls, creaking headrests that got fixed, and an SVS that turned into an SSN the car has been great. ??

We took delivery of our LR AWD on December 3rd 2021. We are now approaching 45000 km (28k miles?).

In general, we are happy. Yes, we have had a HVJBJ (or what it is called) issue that stranded us and we had a prolonged isse with getting the frunk remote opening working "in advance". Some PAAK niggles but I have had no new car that has been 100% problem free.

But we were in a position where;
a) We really wanted to go electric
b) We really, really wanted a Ford (because...we like them)
c) Thanks to a decent company program and some luck, financing or cost was not a big deal

I can´t say that the Mach-E is a perfect first EV for someone who is not interested in EV´s and it helps if you like the way Ford does things. No, the app is not great (but better than some competitors), the infotainment is not fault free (but better than many other).

My take on buying a car is that they all have their issues and downsides. Choose what you like, what you can live with and deal with it. ;-)

This is still a car that is nice to drive, even if you don´t use all the power or all the options. We (despite being in northern Sweden with lots of winter) have had no charge door issues.

Yes, I would have liked some updates, heated rear seats, a physical button for our European heated front screen, more towing capacity. And yeah, better thermal management to get better cold weather range would be nice (for us, a true extra 50 km range at minus 15-20 degrees C would be a game changer).
