I read an article that says you shouldn’t charge to 100% unless you need the miles. For daily commuting they recommend 60-70% or no more than 90%.

I don’t see a way to change the charge percentage either in the car or on the app. The only thing the app has is to “Stop Charging”.

The only app I have is the ford app. I don’t have one specifically for the Mach-E

I searched forever on the center console and couldn’t find anything regarding charging percentage.

The same screen that has your navigation and radio app in your car should also have an app called charging.

Click home (the funny-looking house in the upper left). You will find the charging app there.
Thanks, I am also a new MME owner. I was looking under the settings icon.

Funny you say that…..it was originally in “Settings”, but one of the updates made it its own app.

You have over 17,000 miles and have never set a home charging location?

As to reading an article, what about the manual?

Ford says charge it constantly. If you’re not driving, charge it.

Why would I think anything else when the manufacturer tells you to charge it all the time?

They don't tell you to charge to 100%. The manual specifically tells you not to do that, except for a trip. And they don't tell you to "charge constantly", they tell you to keep it plugged in. Totally different.

To set a charging limit, you must first establish a “Charging Location” which you do in the Charging app on the main screen inside the car. You’ll create Home, Work, etc. and wherever else you may charge frequently, and then you can set a different limit per location.

It’s ultra clunky, monstrously unintuitive, and a serious deficiency when it comes to DC Fast Charging — we constantly clamor on the forum for an easy slider or global setting, but nothing yet. Honestly one of the strangest oversights in the Mach-E as basically every other EV has this.
