I like Apple Maps as a guide etc. I have iPhone 15 ProMax.

I’m not a fan of EVGo and that’s all the charging options it gives. I can’t figure out the settings. Prefer EA myself

Thanks

When you open Apple Maps on your phone, click your photo, select vehicles, then click your car.

From this screen you can edit and add networks.

I am new to the MME, and carplay. I do not see any option under my picture in Apple Maps for ‘Vehicle’.
Thanks for any help!

Tap your photo scroll down a bit to vehicle and then you should see the providers.

I think you need to be connected to the car when you do it so it ‘sees’ your EV

Thanks; I tried that: it shows 5 items:
Favorites
Guides
Offline Maps
Reports
Preferences

I cannot find ‘Vehicles’ under any of these.
Try following the directions here to ensure your car is connected to Apple Maps.

Thanks for sharing, I wasn't aware you had to select the networks you wanted access to. Interestingly it allowed me to choose Tesla Superchargers, but I can't modify the type of plug/adapter I have. I'm guessing Apple is on top of this and will update it when the Superchargers open up.

I think the only thing it does not do is precondition the battery if you use the gps to find a charging station
Correct, the communication between the phone and car doesn't allow the concept of preconditioning at this time.

Does Apple Maps correctly calculate the battery percentage on trips?
I have found the Apple Maps calculated percentages to be somewhat accurate initially. And then of course very accurate at arrival since the arrival percentage changes during the drive as data is retrieved from the car during the drive.

For example it might predict an initial arrival percentage of 20% and then as the drive progresses it might change slightly but I have found the ultimate arrival percentage is plus or minus 1-2% of the initially reported number. If it changes it is usually to the minus side meaning that if anything Apple maps is a tiny bit optimistic.
