I'm told that some new updates have dropped into the FDRS which may resolve my charging issue that I've been going back and forth with ford for five months now.
Could someone run this vin please (I know I got one earlier but want to see if new uploads are there)
Thanks Vin 3FMTK4SX5PMA80214
This is what PTS is showing as far as available updates for your car. I am not sure how accurate this is compared to FDRS, but if Mike doesn't get you the FDRS list, shoot me a PM today after 7pm eastern when I'm home and I'll check FDRS for you from my laptop.

First VIN has a very extensive and healthy OTA history. In terms of power-up updates, it seems to only be missing 6.13.0.

1707324383051.png

Second VIN has had 6.3.0 fail twice due to software mismatch issues. The files the server wants to send to it didn't match the manifest and the update failed. It happens quite often. Nothing you can do but wait for another OTA trigger to be created for that vehicle and hope the correct files are sent out next time.

Re First VIN:
Hmm, I never did get 6.4.0, 6.6.0, unnumbered GWM, 6.13.0, or 23-PU1024-MCP-FX. Are you saying that I do not need to get those updates (other than 6.13.0)? I assume nothin is in my queue right now?

Re 2nd VIN:
Been waiting a long time, hopefully they start budging soon!

Thanks!

As far as module programming, what they did is listed below. All the updates below seem to have gone through successfully. The day before, they did a GWM update and they made a weak attempt at updating the IPMA, but they did no do it. After that, they did an IPMA alignment.

Hi All,

I’ve had the Service Vehicle Soon & Powertrain Malfunction/ Reduced Power the last couple days.

I’d appreciate a VIN lookup in FDRS if someone is able to.

Hi. TSB 24-2012 is supposed to have executed it. Can you confirm it for me? At the same time, if you can send me a pic of the list of modules to verify status, I will thank you. Thank you for everything.

Seems like the dealer has pulled that TSB up a few times under your VIN. That TSB requires updating the APIM and it instructs to update the GWM, TCU and IPC as needed to get the APIM update released. The problem is, your car is not showing any available updates for those modules even though at Sync 23031. However, vehicle history does show an IPC update attempt that was not done a few days ago, and the list below is not showing an IPC update, so in your case, I would rather check in FDRS instead of PTS to confirm. That will have to be later in the evening when I get home unless someone else can chime in and cross reference FDRS with the list below to confirm.

Hi all. It’s been a while since I posted and I’m sitting on 6.6.0 in my 21J1. I’ve tried babying the 12v, long drives, slow charge, and blower method. Before I pop breakers or disconnect my 12v, can anyone see if I’m stuck or just in limbo after the bricking issues?

3FMTK3SU6MMA03153

FWIW I’ve had terrible difficulty finding a good EV dealer in IL - gladly taking recommendations around the Chicagoland area.

I assume the issue you are referring to is from early last year when you got the "stop safely now" message and took it to the dealer? You've gotten plenty OTA's since then and are on the latest Sync version. You're just waiting for the OTA process to get to you to queue up the updates you're missing. 6.7.0 is a GFM update and you do have a GFM update showing available for your car. No need to worry about charging your LVB maniacally. You have to first get sent an update before it can fail due to a low battery conditions. According to the link below, this OTA does not require the vehicle to be inhibited anyway:

https://github.com/elmedico27/fordpowerup

You car is recording hard codes for driver assist functions not being available for about a month now and as recent as yesterday. I would ask your dealer look into that over the missing OTA's. There are TSB's that are associated with this problem that address the issue.

Thanks so much for your help with this!

I've had vehicles give similar errors in the past due to rough highway conditions (and bumps and potholes in the road) and assumed the driver assist issue was the same issue. Maybe bouncing the cameras or something loose. Maybe I was mistaken though.

Which TSB should I look into on the driver assist functions failing intermittently? I'm going to try dealership number 3 and would like to be as prescriptive as possible on the issues I'd like them to resolve.
