Hello, I am planning to get my car inspected at my local Ford dealer, as soon my 2yrs warranty will expire. So I am curious what my update status may be, as this may be my last chance to request some fixes within the guarantee period.
OTA update wise I am feeling quite good. Recently I received 24-PU0102-CHG-SUFX, and now I am hoping for 6.5.0, what for Germany (always lacking behind compared to what you receive) is not too bad.
But maybe you see something that’s not okay, or that I still could request to get updated manually?

Many thanks in advance!!

Are you getting enough heat from the heater? HVAC might need an update. Do you occasionally get errors when you try to fast charge? Your OBCC might need to get updated. When you walk up to your car does it not immediately recognize your phone and let you unlock the doors? Your RFA might need to be updated. Does the audio system sound a little scratchy with some faint background noise? Your DSP might need to be updated.

If you plan on getting your HVJB replaced under the recall soon then the powertrain items in this list will all be updated at that time (PCM, ABS, BECM, SOBDMC). You should ask them when they plan on doing that.

Hi Mike, thanks so much again for your great help and support! :)
The RFA update indeed is something that I need, as the door unlocking has become really annoying. Good to know what I need to request.
Unfortunately, with the HVJB replacement I need to wait, as I have been told by my dealer that currently only GT and AWD types get served here in Germany. Issue still is the missing supply for the replacement components.

Hi all. I am a new owner having just purchased a 23 Premium RWD extended range. I am a bit of a technology nerd so I am curious as to what software versions are loaded on my car and what if any updates need to be applied. Would someone mind looking up my VIN and share the information?

Thanks in advance.

Your last OTA was on the 28th, so that process seems to be working.

Thanks so much!
I noticed the OTA update when it happened. I guess things are working as they should. Do I need to be concerned with these or just wait?

Nothing to be concerned about they will eventually show up as OTAs.

Hello, I acquired a new 2022 a couple weeks ago and am trying to determine if I should wait for OTA updates or take into a dealer. I also am not seeing an option to schedule automatic updates

Hi All,

I would appreciate any assistance and guidance. I bought my 2021 MME AWD Premium on 9/9/23. I was unable to connect to Ford Pass from day one. A week later, another dealership determined that the modem was unable to communicate and required replacement. After five months of waiting, the parts arrived. I returned the car to the dealer on 2/2/24, and they replaced the modem, but it still wouldn't connect. They contacted Ford tech, and I'm waiting for the car to be "reprogrammed," whatever that means. Bottom line, I've never received an OTA update since buying the car. I can't turn it on from the start. And I can't order a Tesla adapter because I can't access connected services.

Could someone please check the FDRS on my car? 3FMTK3SU2MMA00203

And I would be grateful for any advice and explanations from those who have been through this extremely frustrating experience with FORD.

Hello - new to the MME and new to the forum. Thought I would throw my name in the hat to see where I’m at software wise as I believe my car was sitting for quite some time. September build I believe.

Big thanks to those doing this! ?

Welcome to the forum. Your build date is 13 Sep '20, which makes your car one of the earliest I've seen.

Also, as to your inability to activate and use your car with FordPass......

It would be terribly spiffy if somebody at your Ford dealership could take your car our of "Fleet mode"...which is the reason you can't connect.

It needs to say "Retail Authorized" under Modem Activation. You don't need any parts...this doesn't require engineering support. It just needs to be taken out of fleet mode.

Sometimes with some folks it's like they're a hog lookin' at a wristwatch.

Oh, and I guess you can get them to finally finish the BlueCruise programming that previous owner(s) never got around to. Or at least get the service department to confirm it's done and clear the FSA.

If you cannot schedule updates using the Sync menu you have a problem that needs to be diagnosed and corrected by the dealer. Normally this diagnosis will result in the GWM (gateway) being reprogrammed at a minimum, and if that doesn't correct the situation it might need to be replaced (although completely reprogramming it by doing a PMI should do the trick).

Now, having said that....ask your service advisor why your TCU modem activation status says both "Retail Authorized" and "Fleet Authorized" at the same time.

That might be a clue. Normally on a customer owned car it just says "Retail Authorized" and OTAs show up.
