Thanks much Mike! And that was a nice service Aaron Ford provides, they called me to set up the CSP warranty service came out and got it done. I talked to the tech and he mentioned this was his 7th car so far today.

I've heard that mentioned around here, but I don't know how that translates in the real world. I'm just speaking from the perspective of a dealer employee.
Understood - and I wouldn't want them to do work they won't get paid for.

I supposed I'm projecting my other frustrations onto the update issue to some degree.

My bigger problems have been with their communications, mostly about the accident that occurred while the car was in their care, but also about how the recalls that "would take a few days" took 2.5 weeks. And then doing nothing about getting the body work done until 24 days in - and if I leave it to them, I'll be without my car for at least 5 weeks total, if not longer.

Yea that's terrible. No doubt about that. They should do it based on that alone. Service manager should sign off on paying the tech. Based on what you said about then screaming at each other, sounds like the everyday cat vs dog fight between advisors and techs.

Well before picking up the car you should have a discussion with the service manager about Ford's bulletin that tells dealers they should do all available updates while the car is in for the HVJB.
So....my service manager is....obtuse. This is a guy that didn't sent an estimate to insurance for an accident that occurred when their valet picked up my car on April 1 until yesterday, April 24th. The car was sitting waiting for parts (that they should have ordered 5 days before the appointment, apparently?) for over a week between the glass recalls and the other recall work, which was completed on the 16th or 17th. Then the car sat since then with no action taken to deal with the accident. At this point, I want my car back; if I let them proceed, I'll be without my car for another week and half or so.

Meanwhile, he insists the updates were done. The Ford BEV person I spoke to doesn't seem to know what a module is or what "update available" means.

He's not inclined to believe anything I tell him and just keeps telling me the update was applied when the system communicated with the cloud.

Is there a pdf or a date or a reference number of this bulletin that says Ford will pay to do all updates when a car is in for 23S56? I don't want to push this issue any more if I don't have something I can refer them to.

Here's the list:

So Gimme is saying not to do the powertrain modules right now (but won't say why).

So that leaves you with the GWM, (25mins), CMR (50 mins), IPMA (2.5hrs), PSCM (15mins), and DSP (4mins). So that will keep you busy for 4 hrs.
Looks like folks are getting lots of 1PD faults after the latest updates that are done with the HVJB recall, perhaps that's why the hold on powertrain updates?

Thank you soo much Mike really appreciate it having major issues at the minute one week in where I’m not getting blue cruise at all after subscribing it’s not even showing up on the about screen and I’m on a really old software version and also my connected icon on the dashboard is intermittent.
Those are the exact same problem that I am having at the moment ... just got a new 2023 GTPE last week, and the issues are identical.

Hi mate

mine has been with the dealer for a few weeks now and still they don’t know what the issue is. I am based in the UK and apparently the dealer is putting the bluecruise on their demo vehicle and then going to be comparing the code to see if there any differences.

Hello,
Can anyone look into VIN# 3FMTK1SS1MMA35303.
Had the dealership figure out the 12 volt was bad and was stopping it from getting updates. Had 21G01 done to activate BlueCruise, but it never activated and is still showing coming soon in the fordpass app. Hoping someone might be able to help.
Well clearly, something didn't go to plan.

I see they put in a lot of effort trying to figure out the CMR (driver's iNanny Cam) "blockage" issue....which all Mach-Es have and will likely be with us forever.

But whatever they did programming wise...I think they're going to need the FSE to help figure out.

I don't think I've ever seen this many DTCs on one car in one day...they don't all fit on the screen.....if I scroll the screen down there's another whole screen of more DTCs...all for just today:

Here's the relatively short list of available updates showing FDRS...none of which are BC-adjacent.

I'd call the BEV hotline and open a case...talk to the service advisor and ask that they get a FSE (Field Service Engineer) involved in trying to sort this out.

I may have already called that group in the beginning with all of this. But at this point why not call them again.
Then I started getting kicked to connected services who lied to me.
"The Bluecruise doesn't work because you don't have the navigaton package. It will be ready on this date." etc.
Went to the Dealership last week and they opened a priority ticket, radio silence since.
Love the car overall but the experience is poor at best.

https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...-had-no-ota-updates-at-all-suggestions.35232/

VIN = 3FMTK4SX3PMA60365

Thanks to rugedraw for help with this issue already ... figured I should post this in this thread (where it probably belonged in the first place) ... a link to earlier discussions is provided above.

Quick summary ... 2023 GTPE Job 1 ... leased and picked up from California dealer 10 days ago, driven back to Florida ... BlueCruise non-functional in car the whole drive back to Florida (despite the 3-year BlueCruise subscription being activated at the dealership and showing as Active in my FordPass Connected Services, and car settings being correct) ... many fault codes showing for this car ... and OTA updates seem to not have happened, for the most part, and do not seem to be pending?

1. I have a dealer appointment scheduled for next Monday? Do you think the severity of this issue warrants a trip to the dealer? I have a feeling it does.

2. Seeing as this is a brand new car, I have no plan nor desire to pay for anything related to getting this new car "up to snuff", but the problem is that the selling dealership is 2,500 miles away, and I have no relationship/goodwill with any local Ford dealers. Any tips on what I should say, how I should approach it, what issues I should point out to the service department to ensure that this fix gets covered as a warranty repair. I would think the fact that the $2,100-valued 3-year BlueCruise subscription is completely non-functional should be reason enough, but I would welcome some tips.

Dealers do not touch any settings for OTAs or anything else before selling the car.

Have there been issues where cars sat so long on the lot that a tech had to intervene to get past a specific dependency hump? Yes. And it's usually a gateway update (or TCU) that manages to break the logjam.

So apparently your car did try to update the APIM (Sync) a few days ago and it didn't take ("Application Lifecycle Manager Install Failure"...whatever that is when it's at home...)

And you have an update for the APIM that could be applied using FDRS.

I've marked the powertrain modules with red stars...those are to be avoided right now due to an issue that will result in 1PD quitting repeatedly and possibly drive mode changes from whatever you had it set to...to something else, which might change the way your regen braking functions.
So best to avoid those.

So yeah, that APIM could get updated, and if you got the OBCC done that would enable the Tesla Supercharger charging to work.

The APIM that failed was resent and went through the second time. No OTA in queue at this time.

For future reference, the VIN would help. ;)

Any idea what's preventing the BlueCruise from working?

I will mention that when you look at About/Sync, it does not show a BlueCruise Map Version, instead, it shows "Hands Free Driving Available Thru 03-09-2074".

This compares to my 2022 MME Select, which I plan on selling, which does have functional BlueCruise and shows "BlueCruise Map Version: MU5T-14H394-AAT".

So there's obviously a problem with the new 2023.
