Hi. I am looking for help to determine if my 21 GT has a HVBJB replacement before I bought it. I bought it used in July 23 at 16K miles and have now replaced the HVBJB twice. At 24K in February and at 26K just now in April (with BECM this time).

Ford had a generic mention of "electrical" service at 15K in October 22. I'm in Minnesota and I think if I pursue any lemon law action, I'd have verify the problem began before I bought it based on age and milage. Carfax didn't show anything about buyback or major electrical problems.

I can't seem to get the prior history from my dealer. I have a ticket open with Ford, but would to learn details of the car's service history be before I bought it. If someone is willing to PM me and look up my VIN, it would be greatly appreciated.
Send it. I’ll look it up in the morning.

Hi I called OTA help line, and they said there are a bunch of diagnosis codes and its probably what is stopping me from updating. I prefer not to turn my car over and find it its gonna get flagged by this powertrain module and waste my time. Can someone look up the codes my car is generating?

2nd, I bought this car used, and I see a few services that occurred, I wanted to see what they were... Looking for all records before Jan 2023.

Appreciate it!

I'm somewhat new to FDRS. Can anyone explain what this means to me?

My VIN is 3FMTK4SX8NMA24653. I'm assuming I can't view PTS info from FDRS?

I can.

You don't have any available updates....and beyond that even if you did have some available powertrain updates you couldn't apply them right now because they're working on a fix to the 1PD and uncommanded drive-mode switching problem that the latest powertrain software updates created.

Thanks MikeG; so all updates involving those 6 modules are blocked until this issue is resolved? Thanks!

Hi my car has been way behind the latest Sync4 for a long time and I'd want to know if anyone could look up my VIN and see if there's any APIM updates. VIN is 3FMTK1RM0NMA24737.
Thanks in advance.
PTS does not show any, but I don't trust PTS when it comes to showing pending updates for certain modules including the APIM. Also, you're on a very old Sync version and only show PSCM/IPMA updates. It seems a lot of updates were done mid April and someone was trying to enable bluecruise, but there are no tech notes in PTS. Was that the dealer doing those updates, or was that you?

VIN: 3FMTK4SX1PMA37005

I'm sure I'm behind, but I'm curious just how far behind. I've got a power supply (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01ER3LH1G?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details) and a laptop but I haven't bought the adapter yet. Wondering if it's worth dropping the $500 for the adapter. How often people are using it after the push to catch up.
Last power-up update you got was 5.1.1 and the unofficial list of modules pending updates are below. Whether buying the Mongoose is "worth it" or not is a matter of opinion. In mine, it is worth every penny; applying updates is one benefit. Freeing yourself from most dealer dependencies is well worth the price of admission If you're lucky enough to find a used one on ebay or something, even better.

I don't like showing people the codes their vehicles are reporting because people put way too much weight into them, but ask and you shall receive. IMO: If you car is working fine and no lights on the dash, none of these codes are anything to worry about. ALL vehicles report codes. Warranty history is also attached.

You're on Sync 23031. I would need FDRS to confirm if your car the relevant updates you need to progress through the OTA process or not. I don't have access until later tonight. If no one gets to you by then, I'll check later.

Thanks a lot. I was trying to upgrade my power-up to latest version so I tried everything in FDRS but no luck. I'm still far behind.

Give me a bit to look into it. Does your bluecruise work?

Edit: FDRS is showing a GWM update available. Once you do that one, it will release more updates for that module, the APIM, TCU and/or IPC. You need to keep doing those until your Sync version gets to 23291. If you get stuck at some point before you are able to get to Sync 23291, message me to see if I can help.

No it doesn't. I was just trying out of wonder but my car shouldn't be equipped with bluecruise. I don't have an active FDRS license at this point. Would you recommend buying one?

Good morning! I'm a long-time lurker finally making the EV plunge and purchase a used 2022 Mach-e Premium from a Ford dealer in my area. The sales staff has been less than helpful giving me information on the software status. Would someone be able to run and FDRS report for me to see if there is anything I need addressed before I drive it home? The VIN is 3FMTK3R78NMA01356. Thank you!

? ? ?Wishful thinking, huh?

Maybe you're asking the wrong person. I will ALWAYS recommend FDRS to anyone that asks. It will take the OTA process a while to get you caught up with the updates you are missing. Bearing no issues with the rest of the update process, the IPC update will get you the SoC on your cluster which is something all the EV owners get aroused over, so if you want that, then worth it.

Well, aren't you lucky? I didn't even know 2022's were getting 6.14.0. You do show a few modules with pending updates, but you're ahead of the curve from most people.

Not sure why because your car was getting updates just fine, but your modem is showing as "not authorized" now. So no updates for you or Fordpass until this gets fixed. Call Ford Customer Care to see if they can activate it for you without you having to take the dealership route.

Thank you for the quick reply! I'm wondering if the modem entered "not authorized" status once it was traded in? My understanding is that it was a fairly recent trade.

Possibly. Not sure, but that needs to get fixed for a variety of reasons.
