I think what your negating here is that the Chinese market is pretty fierce, there is way nore product offerings in China to chose from than there are in the North American markets, and despite what many are conditioned to believe about Chinese manufacturing, the built quality is actually really good, the price is much cheaper, and the features offered are incredible. So they definitely could not enter that market with a clunky lagging processor, and actually be serious about selling their cars.

Now all of that said... how much could an upgraded processor actually be? In the grand scheme of things I doubt it would even move the needle on the overall cost of the vehicle, so I am definitely with you in terms of wanting to see an upgrade for North American markets as well, because it does feel pretty dated, and Im sure it will be a limiting factor holding us back with future updates that require more processing power.
I guess we just have ourselves to blame for buying the car despite the slow processor. Sad to see Ford not providing a similar service to another American customers. :(

I wonder if a different processor would impact OTA deployment and support from Ford.

Well, let's break this down. Currently, there is only one processor. Now, I will leave you with this and let you come to your own conclusion: https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/coming-soon-bluecruise-1-3.29252/

I'm a bit confused about what he describes as the "braking problem" when coming to a stop. My experience with the 21 Premium and my 23 GTPE: Buttery smooth.

He's talking about the transition from the motor braking to when the friction brakes are applied which happens right as you come to a stop with 1PD. There's a slight delay during the handoff. It could be smoother and faster if Ford blended in friction brakes a little sooner like at 3 MPH.
