Fine and dandy until Musk resides to block any buy Tesla-built adapters.

The entire industry is transitioning to NACS and there are a lot of cars on the road with J1772 plugs, including every Mach E and Lightning ever built. There will be demand for adapters for years to come, regardless of what Elmo does.

This entire fiasco reminds me of the saying about getting fleas when you lie with dogs.

and they haven't retracted on that promise they still are giving ownersa free adapter, if it's delayed due to issue they can't control it's not on them. Also, in the dim recesses of my mind, I don't recall ford ever saying "We will ship this adapter to all owners on X date. I'd also point out in the "check adapter delivery status" link on ford.com it says quite clearly "EST. SHIP BY"

I cancelled my Lectron and ordered an A2Z. My A2Z arrived yesterday. Looking forward to using it this summer for road trips.

Welp, yet another Ford promise that is probably not happening (unless you have a YouTube channel). Yes, I know they have to wait for Tesla to build them, but Tesla didn't promise them to us, Ford did.

Nothing has been shown that they aren't coming. NOTHING.

I agree with @Kmp14 the Ford mistake was making a deal with Elon, he lies, breaks deals and only cares about his own stock. It was a terrible move to partner with them. The entire "opening up NACS" was a play to generate buzz and get his charger made standard. Corporate america, lets waste everyone times chasing stock price.

I'm listening to the June 3rd full video. Interesting points:

I have little interest in the topic in general, because I have never charged my car outside my own garage, and never expect to. Nevertheless, Ford has indeed promised me a free adapter, with an estimated shipping date, and they put it in writing. Pretty decent of them, I'd say.

That data is discouraging. The % of folks who own or would strongly consider an EV has been flat while the % who would not buy had grown.
