I just had my car in for the HVBJB recall (thankfully, not a forced replacement, but dealer-initiated). Would like to know what they did other than just the HVBJB related programming. Paperwork given doesn't indicate anything useful.

If someone could check
3FMTK2R78NMA13419 it would be great.
Dealer told me they updated everything they can, but I don’t have a warm fuzzy feeling about that…

I am currently experiencing the rear liftgate bug on my 2023 MME Premium EAWD and am getting ready to call my dealer service department to schedule them to install the fix 23-PU0630-RGT-PLO. Is that still the correct fix for the liftgate bug? Also, I have not had any OTA's for a while now.

Can you please run my VIN for any other available updates that I am missing as well?

3FMTK3SU3PMA69292

Thanks in advance!

There is a rear liftgate module update available for your car in FDRS that is the same thing as the OTA update you referenced.

Oh, and your car says that you need to tell your service advisor that sometimes when you walk up to the car and want to open one of the back doors before the drivers door, it takes a bit before it unlocks and opens. Your car says that the RFA update in the above list will fix that.

Maybe updating the GWM (gateway) and TCU (telematics modem) might help with getting OTAs......they have for others.

Any thoughts on the order of updates I should do? I seem to recall that recent IPMA updates can take a while (an hour or more?) any thoughts on how long I should expect this to take?

thanks

it's not often I see a VIN with a gateway (GWM), Sync (APIM), and a telematics modem (TCU) in the available software list all at the same time. It's generally a sign of a car that's more than a little behind. I see that your car last got an OTA in April though so it is capable...I guess they're just not sending you anything. On the other hand it's possible that your car might need some help by getting those three updates done, and in that order (GWM, APIM, TCU). Hopefully you have a cooperative service department.

Good to know - mine is a 2023.5 which I got new in April. I guess I can setup a service appointment and see if they can do those. And yes, I definitely did get an update in April but nothing since.

I'd leave the IPMA/PSCM pair till last.

IPMA by itself can take 2.5 to 3 hours. The PSCM takes 5 minutes. But they are scripted to update as a coordinated set to ensure compatibility. Be aware that this is the IPMA update that sometimes runs on forever during the configuration phase (after the software is actually updated), and folks have had to shut down FDRS, disconnect, turn the car off and then back on, restart FDRS and then specifically run the IPMA configuration tool to finish the job. Not a show stopper, just something to be aware of (meaning, don't panic, you didn't brick it!).

Hey everyone - first post! I have a 2023.5 GT and haven't seen an update since March 29th. I just got off the phone with Ford and she said the car does show some DTCs, but she couldn't see what they were. My OBDLink MX doesn't show any codes so they must not be critical. Can someone please take a look at my VIN when they have a chance? It's 3FMTK4SE5PMA81961. Thanks in advance for your help!

The codes your car is reporting to the cloud are not relevant to your concern and IMO, are not relevant at all. I don't know why those fools answering the phone even mention codes if they can't explain them. All these vehicles report codes. Modules pending updates are below. The only thing I see that is a bit out-of-whack with your car is that many modules haven't reported themselves to the mothership since September (see column to the far right). I assume you have FORScan? I would go to the wrench icon and reset the APIM, GWM and TCU to see if you can force a sync by doing that. It may do nothing, but it certainly won't hurt.

Thank you for the lighting quick reply Javier! The car sat at the dealer until I bought it in mid-March, and it hasn't been driven a ton since I bought it either. Is it possible that's why those modules haven't "phoned home" in a while? It will be replacing my company car on July 1st, so it will see more use soon. As for FORScan, I am aware (and am handy with both cars and tech) of it but haven't had the occasion to use it yet. Do I need to use the PC version of the app or will FORScan Light for Android do the trick? Looks like you're referring to the PC version, but just checking.

Can I have another check with my car: 3FMTK4SX9PMA04656? I presented the SSM-52574 to the dealer and they said there is nothing for my car to be updated. I see that I have 5.1.1 in my car so it’s definitely not the latest.
