I just reset the APIM, GWM and TCU modules as you requested (and took a short drive after the resets). I also did a DTC clear while I was in FORScan. The car is scheduled to check for updates overnight tonight and it will also be on a charger at that time. Please let me know if anything looks different in FRDS on your side when you have a chance. Again, really appreciate the help :)
Everything looks the same. Many modules still showing they haven't reported themselves to the mothership in 9 months. You do not show any pending OTA's in your queue, so no need to put it on a charger unless you get a notice in your vehicle or Fordpass that you have an update wanting to install. With that said, there is nothing wrong with keeping your LVB charged up, but it is not necessary for you do that every night.

Thanks again for the quick reply! I don't charge every night but typically plug in when I'm close to 50% SOC like I am now. I also changed my update schedule from check every night at 1am to check Mon-Thurs at 1am per the recommendation of Ford support last Friday. I also have the parking brake set and headlight switch set to off for the first time, so maybe that combination of changes along with the module resets and DTC clear might prompt something. Thank you again for all of your assistance!

Yea, you're on Sync 20301 which is bad software from 2020 known to break the OTA process. Are you able to turn auto-updates on or is the toggle grayed out?
The toggle is grayed out. Cannot turn it on at all even after reset.

Many people don't like the 1am setting because it leaves the cars parked for hours allowing the LVB to drain when the update tries to install, but if you plan on leaving it on a charger anyway, that should be fine.

Well, it seems like you car ran out of warranty in February, so I don't see a way you can fix the issue unless you buy an APIM that is properly programmed to your vehicle and swap it out yourself. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Unless @Mike G can think of something I don't know about these vehicles, but if this is anything like Sync 20301 on job 1 F150's (and I'm sure it is the same), you aren't going anywhere in terms of your software. Even with FDRS and all the cable/adapters needed to perform TSB 22-2404, the success rate of that procedure is less than 10% and you would need a new APIM anyway.

Your car is a victim of OTA 1.7.1 which famously corrupted data for hundreds if not thousands of Mach-E APIMS. This is a well known issue.

Your warranty repair history says that the dealer tech on the 15th of Feb 24 updated the APIM, TCU, GWM, IPMA, IPC (most several times as per recall) in an effort to enable BlueCruise and concluded with "Operates as designed"...

So your current problem is an extension of the previous warranty repair from the 15th of Feb. At least that's how it looks to me. Because I guarantee you should have been well past the SYNC4 v4.0.20301 revision (that was installed on 4/15/2021 3:13:00 PM) if they had actually updated the APIM on the 15th of February this year like they said in the warranty repair writeup.

I think your should request that they get the Field Service Engineer (FSE) involved and I recommend opening a case with the BEV team so they can assist with coordination of the replacement of an APIM (shortest way to getting fixed). Electric Vehicle Team 800-392-3673 or 866-631-3788 x79969

Remember...it's not just your Sync that's affected. Having an APIM that's stuck at a certain rev and unable to be updated, means that other modules that would depend on your Sync being at a given level cannot themselves be updated beyond a certain rev,...because of software dependencies.

Great idea! Hopefully they will honor it since the warranty expired 2/11.

@Faux Big Boss

I just checked the session history in FDRS for your VIN. No such updates for the APIM, GWM, TCU, ...etc. etc...ever took place in Feb-Mar when your car was in the shop despite what the warranty repair history in PTS says. Never happened. The work would have been shown in FDRS.

There was a 1 minute attempt initiated on the 6th of May at 2:39 PM to update the APIM but it obviously went nowhere.

I was working on that already for @Faux Big Boss. See attached warranty history. The last entry says they updated APIM, GWM and TCU and verified Bluecruise was working which is all BS. The modules that were updated on 2/16 and 2/23 are in the screenshots attached.

I just took my MME in for the HVBJB recall work and asked them to also perform all of the updates (15) that were pending for my vehicle (I gave them the list that Mike from this forum dug up for me - thanks Mike!). When I picked up my car after 2 days at the dealer, the dealer said they did perform all of the updates but would not show many any proof that they had been done and did not show me which updates, if any, might still be pending.

Thus, I would like to see what updates are still pending, if any.
My VIN is: 3FMTK3SU5MMA59942

Thanks!

Lucky you. They did everything that was pending except the RFA (which many people have reported issues not being able to update it). No lies were told here.

Rugedraw: Thanks for checking the update status on my car. Good to hear that they did complete all 15 pending updates as they said they did.

One of many reasons that I was skeptical was that when I had previously brought my car in for the HVBJB (needed 4 visits to get this done), they had each time told me that couldn't/wouldn't do the updates unless I was having specific issues that one or more of the updates would specifically fix. After having talked with the service scheduling manager after 3 failed visits for the HVBJB, on the last/4th visit where my HVBJB was finally replaced, they committed to also doing the pending software updates. And, it's good to get the confirmation they did perform the updates. Glad to have some proof now.

@devmach-e

One final note.....a message, bulletin, email was sent to dealers authorizing them to update all outstanding available software updates showing in FDRS at the time of programming software updates for program 23S56...on Ford's dime. So they could have completely updated your car and charged the labor to Ford. I guess they didn't mention that.
They attempted to do all the available updates today as per that bulletin/e-mail, got through the 4 required ones for the recall, and did a bunch of other ones. Ran out of time at the end of the day with a few minor ones not done (DSM, HVAC, HCM). They were going to go ahead and deliver the car to me and have me return on friday to finish things, but then the car started throwing codes about various driver assistance systems not working: pre-collision, lane keep assist, etc. Tech has to consult with Ford tomorrow to figure out what the next step is.

I'm picking up a 2021 later this week and it was suggested I post here to find out what has been done or may be outstanding for my vehicle.
