Well if that's the case...go into Sync and make sure you haven't locked the privacy settings down so tight that it's not communicating routinely. Look for this icon to show up on the top row of your Sync screen as a tip that the car is communicating.

Yeah, despite talk of wifi being needed for OTA, I thought that the modem needed to be in communication for them to really occur with regularity, and I make sure that icon is on the screen.

There was a time that it didn't show up all the time in the garage due to I assume cell connection issues but would pop up once we left the garage, but after an update a few months ago that hasn't been an issue. It always seems to be connected in that manner.

Now the wifi, OTOH, doesn't stay connected unless the car is powered on. It looks like (from checking Eero logs) that it does connect occasionally as needed, perhaps, but I swear it used to remain connected all the time, regardless of power state of the car, when in range. Though I understand that OTA is mainly over the modem. I'm just looking for something that has changed since March.

Thanks! I see the RGTM has an update. I’ve had issues where it will intermittently pop open and stop or stop about 1/4 open. Am I correct in assuming that a dealership will only search for and update a module only if there is an open TSB, recall, or customer complaint? In other words they will only update the modules they are told to update and nothing more and won’t update everything just because FDRS says there’s an update?

edit: and some of these come via OTA right?
That is correct...they normally respond to 'customer concerns' and go looking for a TSB or SSM or even a DTC that points them to a software update if there is one available. I would tell your service advisor what you just told me and advise that you are aware of an update to the RGTM that may fix the problem and see what they say.

And yes, they normally will only update a module that the warranty is paying the labor for.

Have some dealers just gone ahead and updated everything? Yes. But that is entirely up to the relationship the owner has with that dealer service department.

Well frankly what's changed since March is that there have been only a handful of OTAs sent out to MMEs and Lightnings regardless of model year. Like the spigot got turned off the first week of April....And it's been maybe a dribble since then...and there are other factors like software dependencies that would keep a car that's out of date already from getting anything new...because it's out of date and needs some of the backlog cleared out.

Had my VIN checked a couple of weeks ago, and there was a big list of updates. In the last week or so I've had a couple of issues when 'starting' the car (touchscreen being black for a few minute, settings such as 1 pedal drive resetting) was wondering if this may be due to some updates installing, or a 12V battery issue. 12V SoC was less than 40% after getting the car, so i connected a 12V charger to the jump terminals for nearly a week. This got the 12V SoC up to 90% but still seems to drop quick (drops to less than 70% after a day).

If someone could check my VIN please: WF0TR3SU4PMA15074

Could one of you very kind people check on 3FMTK3SSXPMA33260 for me?

I haven't received an OTA update since March 8 and I was wondering if that's normal or if there's an issue.

Thanks!

Your car is reporting it's status.
Ford Mustang Mach-E Post here if you have an active FDRS account and are willing to look up info for others WF0TR3SU4PMA15074-16-Jun-24PTS

You do have some DTCs but they are the same things seen on many other cars. You haven't received an OTA yet so that history section in PTS is blank. Your 12V battery is reporting 83% as of the the last time your car checked in on the 14th.

Here's the list of available updates this morning in FDRS:

I know there are some UK members who do their own updates...there have been some members here in the US that get together and have update parties...I'd like to see more of that sort of thing.

@Shifts12

Forgot to mention you can get your powertrain updated at least by expressing your concern about 1PD dropping out or your drive mode unexpectedly changing by itself. There is a TSB 24-2187 that covers this.

Unfortunately, not getting an OTA since March has become the norm for many folks.
Here's the list of available software showing in FDRS:

Your car is reporting normally and has the usual DTCs relating to the CMR and RFA that would likely be cleared up by the updates in this list.

Wow! That's a lot of available software. Thank you for doing this. It's very much appreciated.

Morning All, I think I might have gotten lost in the shuffle, can anybody check 3FMTK4SX3PMA12235 for me? I'm thinking it might be in a fleet authorized state, was a courtesy vehicle when I purchased a couple weeks ago.

Thanks!

Does anyone know how to Reset the APIM, GWM and TCU with Forscan? I have Forscan but wasn't sure if there was an actual "RESET" feature or if it was meant to just Load those 3 from Factory Defaults.

Thanks!

To reset the module, go into the wrench icon in FORScan, click the module and the reset option will be there.

All...I will be traveling starting this afternoon and won't be back at the desk until the 4th of July.

I will try to drop in occasionally, but given that my connectivity and time constraints will on holiday may make that unworkable I can't promise an immediate response to requests for assistance.

Enjoy your vacation, and "step away from the keyboard"! We appreciate you, but nothing is critical!
