Yeah, despite talk of wifi being needed for OTA, I thought that the modem needed to be in communication for them to really occur with regularity, and I make sure that icon is on the screen.Well if that's the case...go into Sync and make sure you haven't locked the privacy settings down so tight that it's not communicating routinely. Look for this icon to show up on the top row of your Sync screen as a tip that the car is communicating.

There was a time that it didn't show up all the time in the garage due to I assume cell connection issues but would pop up once we left the garage, but after an update a few months ago that hasn't been an issue. It always seems to be connected in that manner.
Now the wifi, OTOH, doesn't stay connected unless the car is powered on. It looks like (from checking Eero logs) that it does connect occasionally as needed, perhaps, but I swear it used to remain connected all the time, regardless of power state of the car, when in range. Though I understand that OTA is mainly over the modem. I'm just looking for something that has changed since March.
