You can only update what’s available in your software update list. So what you read was if a GWM,APIM,TCU or IPC are in your list, you should update the GWM first, and if another GWM appears, do that again until a GWM no longer appears. Move on the APIM and do that until no further APIM appear. If a GWM appears after an APIM, you would do that GWM. After those modules are updated, move to something like the GFM and that would release the IPC. If No GWM, APIM or TCU are present, you would then do the IPC.

I am a little skittish because when I got a new Mustang GT back in 2005, I wanted to do the whole tuning thing and cold air kit. Got the cold air kit installed, then went to push a tune with what at the time was a brand new version of the diablosport predator tuner. It all but bricked my GT. Had to go to the dealer and pay for them to fix it. Diablosport wouldn't pay for it but did give a refund and send me the previous version of the predator.

I went with the clore PL6100. I figured go with the big guns and not worry about it.

Ah memories. I used a DiabloSport on my '05 Legend Lime GT back in the days. Good times. I loved that car. That 3v 4.6L was one of the nicest sounding engines Ford made, imo.

The difference with this is that FDRS is the tool needed to fix problems. If something goes wrong updating a module, FDRS is the tool used to fix it. The key (especially with the EV's) is having a good power supply, which you got. If something goes wrong, we can help you fix it. I have yet to come across any one on this or any forum have a catastrophic and unrecoverable failure occur using FDRS.

Recently picked up a 23.5 AWD Premium that has the charging issue described in TSB-24-2141 where the car acts like it’s still charging after it hits the charge limit.

I took it back to the dealer I bought it from with a copy of the TSB and they are claiming there are no updates available for my car and as such they cannot do the procedure as described in the TSB. It’s been at the dealer for 5 days so far and they claim they are looking into the issue.

My vin number is: 3FMTK3SU3PMA85833

I would be super appreciative if someone could verify if there are in fact no updates for my car as the dealer claims.

They sit on a throne of lies. That TSB calls for an update of the SOBDMC and you do have an SOBDMC update showing. Your vehicle has a build date of 9/19 and therefore qualifies for the TSB.
