Already have the access holes, but I'm already wrestling with weekend vs year license ?
Save your money. Get the $50 license and just keep your eye on the forums for when something new and worthy comes out worth paying another $50 for.

can someone check if i have any DTC stored?

3FMTK3SU9MMA10968
Yes, plenty. Too many for me to be able to print the 60 day report. Your car does not seem very happy. This was on 6/10:

And this was the most recent report today:

There are way too many TSB's and SSM's referenced by the codes to be able to determine what is causing the hard faults. Looks like a dealer visit is warranted.
Yes that's not good if they supposedly replaced the rear drive unit already.,

Last OTA was 4.2.2.2 about 3 weeks ago. You're a bit behind, but the car is talking to the mothership and has recent OTA history recorded. Hopefully the trend continues for you and you get more sooner than later.

Is your car giving you any issues?

1718670556828-lk.png
Thank you very much for the check. No big issues, I was just wondering when I saw screenshots from Android that some people can open trunk and frunk from the app and also can use mobile phone as a key. I don't have anything like that and I was thinking that it is because of old version of SW in the vehicle.

Based on this info https://fpcommunity.ford.com/t5/Cha...-Update-6-Released-Updated-April-30/td-p/2182, I am like really far behind the current version.

I went with the clore PL6100. I figured go with the big guns and not worry about it.
wow that ps is big bucks. Does it really further benefit to use one of that caliber vs something like the pl2320?

im not even understanding why a regular battery trickle charger doesn’t work for this.

I have no idea, this just seems to be the one that many people have bought, so say goodbye to my money?

Some FDRS modules updates pull upwards of 40A at times. The 12V AGP battery has 35Ah of capacity. So in theory running at full would drain the battery in less than an hour. But you'd be in trouble before that because the voltage would drop below 12V.

A few users here have used PL2030s in parallel to do updates.

A trickle chargers may only output a few amps, so there's no way it could keep up.

Ahhh ok that makes sense and wow I didn’t realize some of those updates were pulling that kind of power.
So really that PL6100 might be the safer bet. I originally thought a single 2030 would work but I guess that might struggle.

That’s a pretty hefty investment when you total everything up though. ?

There are supplies you can get which are less expensive than the PL6100. I spent about $225 for mine (PS, cables, and alligator clamps). Or get the two PL2320s and hook up like this. Not every module update needs full power. But the PL6100 can give that when you need it.

Edit: I should have pointed out lots of discussion about power supplies is over in the FDRS thread.

Hi, I feel like I’ve received a handful of OTA updates but will be taking the car in for a couple things tomorrow and hoping to finally get it fully updated! Would anyone be able to tell me how far behind I am? Thanks!

Additionally, the modules require constant, clean power. Chargers do not provide constant power. They switch on and off in order to supply what they think the battery needs. They are generally low-cost designs, so the output side doesn’t have enough noise suppression to provide clean power. Noise on the power or ground planes can affect the data transfers. This is why it is important to use a good, regulated power supply that can provide at least the amperage required for an update. ??

Oh, I have seen 43A draw, and I have seen reports of 46A draw. So… ?‍♂?

Hello, VIN 3FMTK4SEXNMA52257, getting 10 jail bars even though I’m stopped, 78% charge and 70 degrees. Any codes?
Thanks!

No codes of concern. I see it was down to 40ÂşF last night in Utah, if the vehicle was parked outside overnight the battery would be cold which will cause jail bars. Because of the thermal mass of the battery it lags behind the current temperature.

You're on Sync 23352 and are only showing these, so not behind at all.

Thanks for checking. Yes, cool night last night, but it was outside all day and plugged in. Maybe they’ll clear by the morning.
