Looked warm 32 oF range? Darn you guys get a lot of snow there. Their was not enough info to draw too many conclusion.
Much more snow up there than down down in the city where they started. Loveland Pass is nearly 12000' elevation. Boulder is 5300'. 6700' climb.

I saw that in the lot where they started (not much snow). Really kool seeing the banks when they were going up. Bit of snow there this year.

Actually most suvs, i.e. Rav 4, CRV, Rogur, nx200, are using 225/65/17
My point exactly. All vehicles that no one gets excited about. They are selling this as a "mustang" with "soul". It needs a proper stance.

So if you lost 50 miles of range for stance would that be acceptable? At a certain point compromises need to be made.

@TFLtommy love your series and love Blaze (my dog is horrible off lead)

Question I have is, do you envisage Ford provided Over the Air updates as they gain more data to improve range and performance like Tesla did in the early years?

Benefit for manufacturers to incrementally release new drops is it keeps their cars more current without the cost of mid-life facelifts. I wouldn't be surprised if this is Fords strategy as the stats from the battery suggests that performance could be better so maybe they are holding something back .

Any inside word or rumours from Ford?
Automakers often buy competitive models and tear them down (like Sandy Munro), or just benchmark them whole, or both.

Imagine if Ford had a Tesla and instrumented it to be able to capture all the communication between the car and the "mothership" (side note, Tesla needs to work on their message encryption). Imagine if Ford knew exactly what Tesla's OTA capability was, and designed a car to have better OTA capability. Imagine if Ford had some IT know-how, say from owning one of the first Cray XMP supercomputers and building on that knowledge, and could somehow, even though not located in the Valley, come up with a good OTA system. Imagine.

Then look at an automaker that's come up with 4 production models over it's entire existence, and imagine a legacy automaker that could come up with that same line-up in less than two years if it was motivated. I imagine Tesla hopes it's not motivated.

TFL puts the Mach E standard range up against the Tesla Model Y Performance.

Not an super-equal competition but honestly...the biggest loser in this video is Electrify America.

Oh man....I know this was not an apples to apples test, but wow.....I don’t feel good about the MME and the charging performance. Sucks, because it’s these little videos that make me second guess myself for a little while. I need Tommy to talk me off the ledge.

Fast charging is really the thing I care the most about beyond anything else on the Mach-E, so yeah these (yes, they're pre-production) anecdotes are very troubling. Fast charging needs to be a good experience with as much as I'm going to use it. I'll reserve judgement till we see "production" software in action.

In the conditions, the SR MME got only up to 43/115kw draw and the Y 60/225. I'm not sure that is an indictment of the MME. The 2 broken chargers are a bigger issue
