I got the Bluecruise 1.3 update and now hands free and lane recognition does not work. Would looking up the FDRS help figure out why? 3FMTK2R73NMA30919r
FDRS indicates you have a set of powertrain updates available.

PTS VHA on the other hand shows in your health report that your car is reporting DTCs relating to the powertrain but also the same IPMA DTC that was there before your BC 1.3 update processed (was already present on the 10th, and your OTA processed on the 12th) "B1385:68:28". That DTC when you look it up says that it is a report of "Event Information", which is clear as mud.

You did not have any powertrain DTCs before the OTA processed. But now you do...and you have a set of powertrain updates available to apply in FDRS..... I think I know what I'd do if I were the tech. I'd apply the powertain updates, do a selftest on the IPMA to see what shows up and proceed from there.

Of course dealer service advisors and techs don't like it when customers show up and say "the internet says my car needs an update to fix my BlueCruise"...so it's best to simply tell them what you told us...you got an OTA and now your BC and lane keeping isn't working correctly and you think it might be IPMA related.

You and many others.

https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...ut-no-changes-happened-any-suggestions.37450/

Like many others, the config in your IPMA is correct for the new features to work. However, the config in your APIM does not include the toggle switches for the new features. If you have FORScan, I can tell you what to change to add the toggles, but I have given this to a few members here to try and it still didn't get the new features to work.

I don't know what the problem is.

This update has been sent to you a dozen times and it failed every time with the same error:

"errorCode":"FordPartNumberMismatch(55)""errorCategory":"ERROR_CATEGORY_ALM(3)""ecuId":"2000""fpn":"PU5T-14H009-MAA"

This is very strange and I have no idea what is causing this. I don't see your APIM has never been replaced, so I am not sure why the mothership is confused with part numbers. I don't recall seeing this particular error before. Based on this, you have a leg to stand on to get your dealer to try and do it for you. I am not sure if FDRS will be able to circumvent whatever the issue is with the OTA side of things.

My driver monitor camera module went out last year, they were running updates when my 12v battery failed and they bricked my car. Probably related to that. Thanks for checking!

@briankwest,
ABS, BECM, PCM, SOBDMB, SOBDMC are still pending. Basically out of 6 modules, 5 are out of date. If your dealer followed the TSB to address your issues, I don't think these modules would be out of date.

Just paid the dealer a visit, and they swear up and down that screen you show where the updates are available isn't accurate, so either they don't know what they are doing or they lied to me.

So how often is that updated?

Hey guys. new owner here. The car I bought was made in may 2023 but sat on the lot for a year before I got a good deal on it. It has updated 2 times slowly to 4.23 and 4.24 but lots of bugs keep popping up and it hasnt tried another update in a week. Im also unsure if any recall work was done. I did ask the dealer when I purchased it, if it was updated and they of course said yes. But im missing alot of features. Would you kind people be able to see what im missing and maybe tell me if there is a chance it all gets delivered OTA or if im better taking it back to them and letting them get me unstuck and caught up.

FDRS shows you have 13 available updates and PTS shows 14. Sometimes there is a small discrepancy until the servers sync up.

The ABS is the only outlier here and that is usually tied into a powertrain update...but in this case it could disappear after the IPMA and PSCM are updated. That's what happened on my car (23' GT PE).

Hey I've booked my first 16000km service with the dealer and I'm hoping to get some updated software from them. What should I say specifically? I really want a) TESLA charging feature, b) "Public Charging" app (so I can charge if my phone gets stolen or lost), and c) Bluecruise 1.3. I suspect they won't install Bluecruise 1.3 but maybe there's hope for a) and b).

I think in the past someone suggested I ask for a GWM update, since if the GWM is updated maybe I'd get unstuck? Last OTA was 4.2.5 on March 6, 2024.

VIN 3FMTK4SX8NMA64571 . Seems I'm on Sync 4.0.23031

Can someone with a FDRS look up my status and help me decide what to ask for?

If I can't get any updates from them I'm probably going to get desperate and try to do my own updates if I can get my strict wife to agree to let me play that way.

Here is your list of pending updates:
Ford Mustang Mach-E Post here if you have an active FDRS account and are willing to look up info for others 1721416094500-y7

1. BCM and OBCC updates should be applied to enable the full Tesla charging experience
2. The public charging app *should* be enabled after you update to the latest SYNC version (4.0.23352). However, this typically doesn’t happen. It is a server side enablement, so you may have to just wait longer if it’s not enabled after the update.
3. Bluecruise 1.3 can be applied by updating the IPMA and PSCM. It’s not listed above, but you will also need an IPC update. This may be unlocked by updating your GWM/APIM/TCU combos.

Other updates to note:
- GWM needs to be updated (perhaps a few times) before you can get the latest SYNC update. Dealership should be able to do this but it should also come OTA fairly quickly.
- Headlamp control update will give you nice fade in/fade out animations for auto high beams (if you don’t already have it)
- All powertrain updates (ABS, BECM, PCM, SOBDM, SOBDMB) are generally a good idea to apply
- SCCM may or may not be required for the BC 1.3 update, it usually goes with PSCM
- HVAC should give you optimized/improved cold weather performance/pre-conditioning

Hopefully your dealership knows what they are doing and they update the GWM/APIM/TCU/IPC in the correct order first before applying other updates. You have quite the extensive list so they may not want to do it based on the amount of time it would take. IPMA alone is 1.5-3 hours.

SCCM is required for the BC 1.3 update if it's available to apply.

In fact it should be applied along with any available IPC update before the IPMA and PSCM are done.

Afternoon all. Purchased a 2023 GTPE several months ago and so far I’ve only received one update that seems to be quite far behind the ones posted here. Can someone please lookup my VIN below and let me know if there’s anything I can do to make sure updates are being done?

You got OTA's 4.2.1 and 4.2.2.2 in June and nothing since. This is not abnormal for a 2023 that was built in May of last year like yours. The modem is not activated until the vehicle is sold. Your was activated, and updates will slowly come in. The OTA process is slow and unpredictable.

My car just jumped from 6.3.0 to 6.14.0 and now I have the driver facing camera fault. Does anyone mind checking if I’m awaiting any OTA updates that will fix it? If not I’ll have to take it in.
the VIN is 3FMTK3SU1PMA65337
Thanks!
Just got my car back from the updates, but they couldn’t repair the camera issue. They said it required a module to be replaced? Any idea what that could be?

The CMR is what controls the driver facing camera. They tried to update it several times and it failed every time, so it seems like they are going to replace it. From what I can see in vehicle history, they ran pin-point tests, tried PMI's and nothing worked. The also updated the IPMA/PSCM for you while they were working on the car.
