Has anyone tried global open on the windows with the keyfob when it's in this state?

@RickMachE Does the DDM actuate through the BCM using the global open function?
That's an interesting idea, but I think global open would also be affected by the communication glitch since the door modules that control the windows are also on the MS-CAN network just like the door latch control modules. Opening the windows via fob would require the signal from the BCM to jump from the HS-CAN1 bus to the MS-CAN bus via the gateway module. It's the same signal pathway as the latches, so global open would probably be nonfunctional just like the latches.

Signal pathway: Fob > BCM > HS-CAN1 > GWM > MS-CAN > DDM > window motor

Likely all of the modules on the MS-CAN are affected, which coincidently involves all modules involved with vehicular access. A fault on the MS-CAN network could mean a complete lockout.

Doesn't make a ton of sense, half those FSAs don't exist or are expired. They're stopping powertrain updates, door latch updates, and HVAC updates. Just kinda seems like an "all stop" on dealer updates until they figure out what's happening.
There's the BC 1.3 roll out full stop I was looking for expecting.

Hey just a thought. And should probably be a poll. Those locked out do you 1. PaaK 2. Use carPlay 3. Use Android Auto.

I've noticed in the last while since FDRS'ing my car up to date my CP will stay connected to the car's wifi. I've also had it kill my phone battery. I'm wondering if the zone update might be to blame.

Thank you for posted that. I always thought the fob talked to the RFA. I wasn't aware that the BCM had any RF receiver.

(For the purpose of this issue, it doesn't matter. Even if it talks to the RFA, it would still have to hit the GWM to translate to the medium speed CAN bus.)

It talks to the RFA when you're using passive entry or trying to start the car. Button presses are handled separately by the BCM.

It took me a bit as I wasn't quite sure I knew what I was looking for, but I figured it out. Thanks @Mike G ?. I took some additional pictures and added some notes in case someone else had the same questions I did.

Yeah, I didn't bother unclipping the BMS first. Doesn't change anything one way or another.

I kept inadvertently trying to use that plastic clip as leverage to pull up which I didn't was feel right. I gave up, looked at my picture and your pictures, then realized I didn't remove the clip the first time. Once that plastic bit was removed, I gravitated to the clamp, which help making the removal much easier.

Honestly, I think I'm a bit slow at times. Haha.

Haven’t seen any reports of this lockout issue on here lately. Also no software fix that we’re aware of. Strange..

Is it possible that it has been resolved behind the scenes?

Skimming through this has me wondering if I should go disconnect my battery for a bit.

I've recently started getting two notifications from the app about "Electrical System Drain Service Required" and "Plug in to Maintain 12V Battery". A quick glance at the Ford website shows my battery at 68% - but that may have been from a couple hours ago when I got home from work and parked it.

First got these one of the days a few weeks ago when I did like three updates in a row when I was at home - so I expected it then after having completed the updates. But I've had the pair of alerts come up a handful of times since then too - and never had them before the recent updates.

And I definitely do not have any accessories or 3rd party services connected that would cause a drain.

Recent updates included:

- 24-PU0121-FTDI-FX (7/22)
- 24-PU0105-CMR-FX (7/23)
- 24-PU1024-6CH-AUD (7/23)
- 24-PU0301-BLM-PE (7/23)
- 24-PU0302-BAT-DR (7/25)

Note: I have NOT been locked out of my car at any point yet.

EDIT: Decided to disconnect it. Will see if the 12V warnings stop.
