FSA 23B50 for stuck charge cord is still outstanding. That will get the powertrain updates in the list applied for free (PCM, ABS, SOBDMC, SOBDM, SOBDMB).

Car does have errors relating to the IPMA, but they could be corrected by application of the IPMA/PSCM pair of updates (they are scripted to be done together).

Car has not received an OTA in over 60 days...but then again it's a '21 model and that's not unusual.

Are these fairly routine updates to apply to the car? Does a dealer just run some sort of update if you bring it by?

Hi,

Can someone help me with the updates and maybe recalls status for a 2022 MME? The VIN is WFOTK3SU1NMA00758. The dealer here is nice but they don't really have experience with EV so I want to be sure that it's up to date.

Thanks

That FSA specifically applies to your car. So all those powertrain updates would get applied.

The other items are either updated in response to a concern you are expressing about something not working correctly or an error you're getting, or they will eventually get updated as an OTA.

I take it you're new to the Mach-Es?

I would go for a late '22 model if it were me. People here who have '21 models are finding that Ford isn't pushing out newer features like BlueCruise 1.3 to the '21 models, and people who have '21 models are finding that they are seriously underwater when they look to trade in.

Your car most recently tried to update the ACM (radio) module via OTA, and that failed because of the state of charge of your 12V battery. And when I checked it today, it says it's only at 62%. This is not your HV battery we're talking about, but your 12V battery. So either your 12V battery is going bad or it needs to be charged up properly (or both?).

You might try resetting the Battery Management System learned values before you take it for a drive the next time to see if that will get it back up above the 80% minimum required for an OTA to work.

Get in the car and press the Start button without putting your foot on the brake pedal.

Flash the high beams 5 times, and then press the brake pedal 3 times and watch the instrument panel for the red battery indicator to flash 3 times.

Press the Start button to turn the car completely off.

Then start the car as you normally would and go for a drive that's at least a half hour. Longer is preferable.

Can I be a pest and ask for an OTA status for WF0TR3SU0MMA19392 ?

Is it just waiting or 12v low? I've been driving quite a bit for the last little while.

Yes, new to the Mach E. I’d like to get one as my first EV And with 21’s coming off lease lately, I’d like to scoop one up. The one I’m looking at might be at a good rate because they aren’t getting traded in for a ton of value.

Noted one the ‘22. I read Ford’s official statement includes the ’21 model, but maybe some of the real early ones are getting left out for the time being?

Normally when we see the TCU modem authorized for both Retail and Fleet that's an indicator that the car was either in the FCTP program or it actually is in a leased fleet. If it's not in a leased fleet it would be a good idea to call the Ford BEV team and ask that the fleet authorization be removed from your TCU modem settings.

Last OTA you got was at the end of September. That gateway update in your list above might well be the next OTA you get. 12V battery was at 89% when I checked, so that's not a problem.

Hello all,

I haven't posted on this forum before, but I have been aware of it and using hints and tips from here since I picked my car up in October of 2022. I've been having an issue for over a year now where the car does not appear to have had any OTA updates. I've spent hours on the phone with ford, the car has been in and out of the dealer multiple times, It has had both the APIM and the IPMA replaced, and at this point, I'm not sure what else can be done to get it to start updating normally.

It seems like something has completely stalled the updates, the dealer has done some updates to the car manually, but I know there are still some that's waiting.

if anyone is able to look it up, or even pass on a reputable website where I can purchase a short FDRS license, Access PTS to get a copy of the logs, or a reputable way to get a copy of the service manual so I can see what processes are required I would really appreciate it. Anything would help.

My car is a 2022 GTPE

my Vin # is:
3FMTK4SX5NMA62289

Thank you so much!

Edit: the car is currently at the dealership, they also replaced the 12v battery to try and fix the issue.

Thanks!

I've dropped the last dude who was quite helpful an email asking if they can drop it off. The UK has quite a small team working on the BEV division.

It just seemed to dry up while quite far behind. Thank you for checking it for me!

No OTAs in the last 60 days (at least) and your 12V battery is at 75% SOC as of the last time your car reported in.

No real work done on the car for the last few days. Just reading the repair manual.

You may want to tell them to ignore the VDM DTC you have instead of spending a lot of time chasing that down. All GT-PEs get that same error, and to make it go away the tech simply has to connect up with FDRS, and with the car fully on, step through all the drive modes, and then go back to FDRS and "Clear and retest" and the DTC will disappear....until the first time somebody drives the car, and it comes back......this is a 'feature' of the GT-PE and there isn't any real fault. Just so you know. But if they go down that rabbit hole, they can spend a lot of time on a problem that really isn't a problem and won't get fixed this millennium anyway. Bigger fish to fry.
