You cannot get Ford to trigger the update again until their update strategy decides to trigger the OTA again. The server logic generally retries a few times after a failure. ??

Mike stated that your car’s automatic updates is turned off. This is likely why the update timed out. Go back through preferences and make sure it’s turned on and that you have a valid schedule. ??

Ok thank you!! I figured having automatic updates turned off would be fine if I accept the updates soon after they come in. Don't understand why the process would break because of this, I should be able to manually accept the updates within a day and have them complete successfully. ?

The problem with auto-updates being off is that the systems that notify you of a update being sent is far from perfect and won't always let you know there is an update in queue. OTA triggers only last 7-14 days before they time out and fail if the vehicle does not ping the server back to accept it.

I am again going to the dealer for a confirmation of the APIM defect (screen rebooting constantly… today on 80km trip rebooted 7times)… and then I have been told that after a day there for checking , they will have to order that APIM because they don’t have in stock and then another immobilisation:

question, once they will have changed the APIM , is there a check to be made to ensure all is up to date ? Will it reset anything ?

I’m having some sync freezing on startup issues that aren’t fixed by standard reset. Could be APIM issue. Can anyone check 3FMTK3R72MMA47084 and see if anything shows on that end? Any thoughts on whether an APIM update might fix the issue. Out of warranty so trying to decide if I need to pony up for the equipment to self update.
