Thank you! I already have it back. I am going to compare this scan with the one ran previous to see if any change. I got 10.1.1 in November so I guess i'm as good as i can get for now.
Okay, well based on your comment I went back and took another look and your car has never had an update using FDRS that I can tell. Lots of scanning your VIN with PTS to check the status, and checking the OTA dashboard, but no update programming so far using FDRS.

You have an open FSA for the "Charge Cord Stuck" reprogramming (23B50). Which will involve the update of the powertrain modules in the list below:

That means the PCM, ABS, BECM, SOBDM, SOBDMB, and SOBDMC will be updated under 23B50.

 While the car is in the shop you may want to tell them about your windshield fogging up when it gets cold in the morning, and that there doesn't seem to be as much heat as you would expect. They might update that HVAC as a result. And don't forget to tell them about your car not recognizing you immediately when you walk up to it with your phone and try to open one of the doors. It sometimes hesitates a second or two before opening doesn't it? If that's the case they may decide to update that RFA. Do you remember the time you came out to the car and your headlights were still on? I'd mention that too. Maybe they'll update that HCM and/or the BCM.

Dear Lord, that's a ton more than I thought that could be updated... Thanks!

Thank you for the additional information. That makes sense to me. I have not updated via FDRS personally. I bought it used from a CDJR dealership in September almost new with less than 4K miles, and before that there was a single owner in Ohio.

I am unfamiliar with PTS VIN scans or the OTA dashboard, however I did make several calls to Ford back in October I think when an update got stuck and took a week or so to push through. So maybe that was them checking the VIN? In any case, thank you for the learnings!

Hi, I'm planning on trying to update my car to the newer version of bluecruise, but I'd like to know if the right update are even available for my car car. Can I send my VIN to someone to check? Thanks!

You can post it here and Mike will check it for you, or message it to me and I can do it, too.

Scheduling a service visit to get FSA 23B50 performed would get the powertrain items in this list applied (PCM, ABS, BECM, SOBDM, SOBDMC).

That gateway update in your list (GWM) would be helpful to have performed while the car is being updated for the powertrain. In fact, you might mention the fogging windshield, PAAK delays when opening the doors, and the fact that your headlights come on in the driveway sometimes for no particular reason, to see if you can get this list whittled down a bit.

Thank you so much for the information. I try and get that look at first

Hello, I just bought a new 2024 Premium RWD with an extended battery. I'm fascinated by this software update culture you all have here. I'm not sure I'm going to hop into it, but starting with someone running my VIN for me would definitely give me an idea of what I'm looking at. I really appreciate it. I'm digging this forum so far, thanks!

Well the good news for you is with a 2024, you can choose to hop in, as you put it, or completely ignore the whole scene, and the potential impact on your vehicle won't much differ.

Or lets just say that if every member here with a 2021/2022 Mach-E was running on the software your car was delivered with, 50% of the threads/posts on this forum wouldn't exist. :)

Welcome.....so this is first for you, and a first for me in another way. This is the first time I've seen Ford post a note about software dependencies coming into play. That note below about updating the gateway module so that the APIM (Sync) and TCU updates will then show up is a totally new thing. They are now telling us what most of us have known for a long time, that gateway updates often lead to other updates becoming available. Interesting new development...and not unwelcome at all.
