What port is in the car you own? Still works right?
Is the sky still blue, not falling??? I guess that means we should not point of the ineptitude of a manufacturer not being able to handle a simple supply chain issue...

When they made a "mistake" and changed delivery estimates to February... They could have left it and maybe made some deliveries on time, but they quickly "fixed" the issue and missed it....

Lectron has begun making NACS adapters for Ford which theoretically should bypass whatever manufacturing issue Tesla has been having.

Yet nobody has seen one of these in the wild. I am hoping that my replacement adapter is one of the Ford-designed/Lectron-produced models simply because I want to see the differences. We shall see, since part of the June shipment has already received their replacements (Tesla-made). ?‍♂?

Who are not the people that are complaining...
And so should not be qualified as not having done a good deed.

Just because a specific user has not received what they want doesn’t mean the millions of dollars worth of adapters have not been sent out.

Could have solved all of this by just forcing you to buy one.

But no, giving it for free is unappreciated because it’s not fast enough.

Your logic is... nonsense.

Ford is not being punished for having done a good deed. It is being punished for not having done what it said it will someday do.

Ford has not done a good deed.

Ford has alleged that it will do a good deed at some unknown-but-frequently-estimated date in the future.
As I said, the folks who stated that this was a bad idea were right.

As for the allegation they might, at some time in the indefinite future (Soon™) … they shipped mine in the first batch to be delivered. Which is a bit odd all things considered (it was like the only time insomnia paid off). Ironically, we have zero Superchargers on this island and Tesla long ago pulled the plans to put several here. Even more ironically, the Tesla owners here need CCS to NACS adapters.

1. They’re built by Tesla in Buffalo, NY. They build other stuff there as well, adapters is not their primary focus atm at the Buffalo Gigafactory.

2. GM, Rivian, and KIA (iirc) are all in line with Ford. They can only build so many.

3. Ford ships when they receive a batch. They ship in the same order as the reservation was made. Unless you live in Canada, then you get to complain,

4. There was a recall by Tesla of many adapters shipped in June. They got to cut to the head of the line.

5. There are third party alternatives that are available now. If you need one, order it assp,. A2Z is shipping their orders out fast as I recall. Perhaps Lectron as well.
My adapter was shipped in the June batch and as you say it was recalled. I am still waiting for the replacement to be shipped. I am starting to think I went to the back of the line!

No definitely, probably, likely, maybe, possibly up front.

From what we’ve seen Brand T appears to be rotating shipments between the NACS group (Ford, GM, Rivian, Hyundai, Larry, Moe, Curly, Shemp, Joe, Groucho, Harpo, Chico, Gummo, Zeppo). I have a friend of very many years who was doing a consulting job in IT with brand T in the Bay Area recently. His comment on all of the Tesla unfavorable news was that none of it surprises him. Then again he also drives an ICE car and rather dislikes all EVs with what resembles religious fervor so …

Imho the good deed is cracking open the supercharger network for not just ford but the others. I know we aren't talking about that, but big picture, right?

Also handing me 200 bucks (which this essentially is) is nice too don't get me wrong.

I love the suggestion of paying me for my a2z and getting me out of the queue. I would go for that at this point.

Just pay me actual cash not expiring ford points.

At this point ford should just let people still waiting for adaptor buy one and take it off their next car payment ?.
