So you probably have a key fob from a early 2020's Ford Fiesta (or similar). That's because of the UK insurance regulators not wanting you to risk getting your car stolen by having a transponder key that somebody could use a signal booster on from outside your house, to steal your car (without ever going in to your house at all).VIN: WF0TR3SU2MMA28322
Thanks for looking these up for everyone, it is a great and really helpful idea.
I have recently got a secondhand AWD Extended range 2021 MME in the UK. I did spot on this forum the recall for the breaking system update, which my dealer did for me on request. I have an extended warranty and so thought it would be wise to check what else needs updating. Also I have heard the 12V battery is prone to failure at 3 years and so it would be good to know its status. Please can I ask for one of you fine fellows to run a check?
Does anyone know what updates are usually OTA in the UK? I assume I have the control module update thingy as I can open the frunk (although in the UK it is a boot and not a trunk, so foot with the oo pronounced as in boot) using the keypad. Strangely it seems we have less buttons on our keys. I’m not sure why it can’t open like the boot, but I guess there anre regulations on how the Additionally PAAK does not seem to be an option, nor using the access code to start the car.
Many thanks
You have a shed-load of updates that will only appear when the prerequisite module updates have been applied.
Case in point. That APIM (Sync) update in your list below. When that gets applied it will unlock the ability to update a GWM (gateway module), and on and on in a similar fashion until your car is 'walked forward' to the currently permitted revision of Sync for the UK market. (This is all listed in the "Additional Updates" note.)
It is entirely possible, if not very probable, that the backlog you see in this list is the very reason you aren't getting any OTAs.
