I would call the Ford EU helpdesk and ask them why your car is not receiving OTAs. (the last attempt failed in November).

Tell them that you know your car is very behind (there are at least 8 updates that should have come as OTAs by now, see the "Additional Updates" list in the box below the available software list:

Thanks a lot!

That issue happened at the dealership while trying to update the APIM module... technology that's too new for them.

Ford EU just tells you to go to the dealership... I'll go directly and ask them to update the modules you've pointed out. Thanks again!

2024 Ford Mach E premium ext range
Hello I was advised to post a request for a VIN check for error codes. I had the service engine soon pop up on my dashboard while on the freeway. And got the high voltage battery / powertrain malfunction error in the app.

its a 2024 Mach e premium ext range. 1800 miles.

Scheduling a service visit to get FSA 23B50 performed would get the powertrain items in this list applied (PCM, ABS, BECM, SOBDM, SOBDMC).

That gateway update in your list (GWM) would be helpful to have performed while the car is being updated for the powertrain. In fact, you might mention the fogging windshield, PAAK delays when opening the doors, and the fact that your headlights come on in the driveway sometimes for no particular reason, to see if you can get this list whittled down a bit.
I tried contacting Ford for the 23B50 CSP but it has disappeared from my VIN when I look it up. It was there last November. Ford say they won't do it unless I pay, since the CSP is not showing up as a CSP. Cost is $175 hr for updating modules but they don't know how long it will take for updating.

I found a local garage that will do fdrs updates for much cheaper. Is there any problems getting all my updates all installed. Are some updates maybe not for all cars. Ive read and seen videos that installing an update that wasn't meant for my car could cause problems.

FDRS is VIN specific. If it shows a pending update, it is specifically for your car.

If FDRS offers the update, it is specifically for your VIN.

Thanks, that's what I thought. I was reading about updates that might be available to all cars before they are pulled back. related to job 1 and job 2 cars

All of these updates are fine to install:

There is a suggested order though, and unless you ask them you'll have no idea if they're aware of that or not.

The ones listed in the bottom box "Additional Updates:" ironically should actually be done before anything else is done (GWM, APIM, and TCU, and the IPC also if you had an update available). They are USB-based updates. They take a little while due to the downloading and then copying to the USB drive, and then inserting in the car and waiting for it to be sucked in, and after that the car is turned off for 10 minutes with the door left open. After a restart you go again by re-formatting the USB drive and doing the next one, rinse and repeat until all of those are done.

After those are done selecting the PCM module will kick off a script that sequences through all of the powertrain updates in a certain order, the tech just has to sit there and press "OK" and turn on and off the start button when told to do so. Takes 25 minutes tops for powertrain.

None of the others takes very long, usually in the two to five minute range.

USB-based updates don't need a powersupply to do them, but the rest of those in that list do.

Welcome! We had another member request info on updates from your area recently...that car was just as far behind as yours appears to be due to shipping, etc.

Thanks Mike really appreciate you taking the time to look and also for the great reply. I called my dealer who told me Ford will only pay them to install recall updates (apparently the ABS is one) but the others they won't and there's no way for me to update them. What a joke, and the dealer was even more frustrated as me. So I've just emailed Jim Farley will be interesting to see if I get a reply...

Appreciate if you could take a loom at 3FMTK3SU3RMA41351.

'24 erAWD. Just purchased it a few months ago, schedule/updates set, but no joy. Mostly just looking/hoping for the specific climate controls to be available in the app after remote start, and I'm just assuming I need an update.

Thank you!

I live in Burlington (ON), probably 20miles away. Do my own FDRS/FORScan updates on my 2022 MME GT P. DM if I can help you out.

Good morning.

Your 12V battery is reporting a SOC of 70%, but the voltage is 13.6V. That's not right. I recommend you perform the BMS Learned Values reset dance before driving the next time to see if that can be aligned a bit better.

Here's how you do that:

Without pressing the brake pedal, press the start button to put the vehicle in Accessory mode.

With your foot off the brake, flash the high beams with the stalk 5 times, and then depress and release the brake pedal 3 times, and observe the small red battery icon in the instrument cluster flash three times to acknowledge.

Press the start button to shut the vehicle off.

Start the vehicle and go out for a drive to completely charge the battery up.

I'm not sure the Fordpass climate settings availability have anything to do with a vehicle update. I haven't heard that. If a Ford source said that, I'd be interested in what they think needs to be updated.

You have no OTAs in the queue at this point, and none have been sent in the last 60 days, probably because the car is so new.

Here's the list of available software updates in FDRS:
