Are we talking about your service visit back in October? Cause that's the one where the tech said he couldn't update the gateway and APIM etc., and after multiple requests to the asbuilt assistance and techline they just gave up.Hello Mike,
You were highly recommended by a friend!
I purchased what looks like to be a Job 1 21' and am having buyers remorse with the lose of some nice features. Anywho, I brought my car to the dealership from an email that I was able to get BlueCruise. Left it there for a few days and said they had to get the regional tech out because some update modules were locked or something. Either way, they said my car couldn't get it even though it is equipped with it? I also still have the old andriod auto setup where it only takes up a part of the screen instead of the full screen. Im just frustrated the functionality of thise car seems to be bad. Could you poke around the back end and tell me what you find please?

Thank you,

Your version of Sync software is the second production version released back in 2021 (revision "-CB", or Sync 4.0.21355).
You have the 'classic' stuck APIM issue that used to be addressed by TSB 22-2404 (see attached). It's a result of an OTA in the first year that OTAs came out that caused corruption of data in the APIM which resulted in no further updates. That TSB however is no longer in effect, and techs are now supposed to follow the workshop diagnostic procedures that would likely result in a replacement of the APIM module (after stepping though the diagnostics and receiving a RVC code to authorize replacement).
One of the things your tech can do to try and clear the GVMS data blocks that he ran into back in October is to try the "Read the Configuration Data" tool in FDRS to get the asbuilt data from the car's modules and post it back to the server. That should clear the blocks and allow further updates to show up, if available. And in any case that should be done before trying to diagnose the APIM issue any further.
Here's the list of available software updates for your VIN today, and you can see the GVMS blocks are still there (shaded modules):
And here's the tool I was referring to in FDRS to potentially allow those GVMS blocks to be cleared:
