Hello Mike,

You were highly recommended by a friend!

I purchased what looks like to be a Job 1 21' and am having buyers remorse with the lose of some nice features. Anywho, I brought my car to the dealership from an email that I was able to get BlueCruise. Left it there for a few days and said they had to get the regional tech out because some update modules were locked or something. Either way, they said my car couldn't get it even though it is equipped with it? I also still have the old andriod auto setup where it only takes up a part of the screen instead of the full screen. Im just frustrated the functionality of thise car seems to be bad. Could you poke around the back end and tell me what you find please?

Thank you,

Matt
Are we talking about your service visit back in October? Cause that's the one where the tech said he couldn't update the gateway and APIM etc., and after multiple requests to the asbuilt assistance and techline they just gave up.

Your version of Sync software is the second production version released back in 2021 (revision "-CB", or Sync 4.0.21355).

You have the 'classic' stuck APIM issue that used to be addressed by TSB 22-2404 (see attached). It's a result of an OTA in the first year that OTAs came out that caused corruption of data in the APIM which resulted in no further updates. That TSB however is no longer in effect, and techs are now supposed to follow the workshop diagnostic procedures that would likely result in a replacement of the APIM module (after stepping though the diagnostics and receiving a RVC code to authorize replacement).

One of the things your tech can do to try and clear the GVMS data blocks that he ran into back in October is to try the "Read the Configuration Data" tool in FDRS to get the asbuilt data from the car's modules and post it back to the server. That should clear the blocks and allow further updates to show up, if available. And in any case that should be done before trying to diagnose the APIM issue any further.

Here's the list of available software updates for your VIN today, and you can see the GVMS blocks are still there (shaded modules):

And here's the tool I was referring to in FDRS to potentially allow those GVMS blocks to be cleared:

Hi Mike,

Could I ask for what was recently loaded and what is left for

WF0TK3SU5NMA22309
The last time any modules were updated was back on 28 August. Nothing since.

Here's the list of available software in FDRS today for your VIN:

Nope I wasn't using a 3rd party app. I was using what your dealer service uses.
All right no problem. My Ford account got unlocked after just a couple of hours after contacting support. Too bad they can´t specify what kind of 3rd party app is at fault. The service rep claimed Ford is currently doing clustered account checks, and is looking at historical data as well. She didn´t know how far in the past they are looking. So there were several contacting her about locked accounts these days. It just happened to coincide with me posting my VIN here.
Anyway, I should try to convince a dealer to help me update, to hopefully clear some of the bugs. I still have to do the high voltage circuit breaker replacement, so I should just finally get that done, just to get the updates.

Thank you Mike,

We might need to redo it in 24 hours. I had the car at dealer for service action 24B60 today. there should be some changes visible.

Well, in order to have CSP 24B60 applied you'd first have to have an ABS (and possibly other powertrain module) updates available. You don't have any powertrain modules that need updating. So I'm not sure what they plan on doing.

Ahhh, disregard...it just showed up. I don't know why there was a delay there.

My '21 has started showing a "Park brake malfunction. Service now" message and while it's still drive-able the auto hold and handbrake functions aren't reliable. Message started as slightly intermittent but is now constant. I'm assuming this is related to corroded connections as per TSB 22-2143 but I'd be grateful for a PTS check so I can go to the stealership with some info. Also , is there anything useful I could do that might help with FDRS?

VIN: WF0TR3SU6MMA39050

Thanks!

I got my car back yesterday from the dealership for this - however mine jammed on. I’d strongly recommend turning off auto hold - when it finally goes - the car will not move until breakdown recovery fixes the wire or recovers you. At least without auto hold - you’ll be somewhat in control of the brake.

They charged me £320 out of warranty for the fix and apparently couldn’t see a CSP in the UK for it, so I’ve opened a case with Ford EV team incase they might pull through.

I’ve got some time for PTS/fdrs tomorrow so will go hunting and report back :)

You are correct...the TSB associated with this fault is attached.

Hello, I dropped my car off at the dealership on Thursday last week and got a notification that they did a Master reset. Would someone mind please checking the VIN so I can see what is happening?

Would appreciate a check when you all have a chance. Have received ECG-24.2.5.6.3 / 10.1.0 / 10.1.1, but not BlueCruise 1.3 yet. So wondering what might be out there.

VIN 3FMTK3SU1MMA02587

Thanks!

Well they haven't done anything since the work they did on the 20th. And you didn't say why the car was going in.

Having said that, you might as well ask them to perform the powertrain updates for the CSP 25B03 High Voltage Battery Charging System Software Update that your car is entitled to.
