Glad your wife is okay. No way to know if it is totaled just from two pictures.

Is it drivable? Did the airbags go off?

I mean OP is not asking us for a legally binding opinion here. My god.

First, I hope wife is okay. Seems from the depth of the deformation that the body side reinforcements at the a-pillar are toast. And because it is a ‘21 with 100k miles, I think it’s probably totaled. Your issue will be the market value of the vehicle vs cost to repair. And honestly, I wouldn’t want to drive a car that gets into an accident of that sort.

Thank you for actually just giving an opinion. Everyone acting like I'm going to hold them liable.

I am in the same mindset this is unlikely to be given back to me.

My guess is it's toast, but it also depends on your insurance carrier and what they consider 'totalled'. We have State Farm in Calif. and a repair that costs 72%+ of mid Blue Book = totalled. At least that was the fate of our daughter's Kia Soul. Guessing a 2021 GT with 100K is worth ~$20K, repairs would need to be south of $14K to make it work. Looks like you have to replace both doors + front panel + respray, and huge assumption that the frame isn't jacked or suspension unaffected by being shoved about. My fully uneducated guess is that it'd get totalled. Fingers crossed that Mr. Jeep's insurance makes you whole.

Mine got side swiped from the front bumper (passenger side) to the rear. Took it to a Ford body shop and they did an amazing job . Went after the driver's insurance company for the repair and extra for the loss of value. The vehicle was only 2 months old when it happened

I never understand posts like this. Everyone knows, or should know, that you can't see the extent of damage from pictures, and therefore it's impossible for anyone to do anything but pull a guess out of their butts. Given that 99.9% of respondents aren't body shop estimators, it's useless information.

There will be 20 answers, and some percentage will guess right, and some will guess wrong, and you still have no information. "Biff on the forum said it's not totaled" wont' get you a dime.

It will be whatever the insurance company's estimator says it will be. You can then fight that, or not fight that. If they total it, since it's a 2021, and you have 100,000 miles, you'll be lucky to get $20,000 IMO. Since I'm unqualified even for that answer, take it for what it's worth. You can't go after the Jeep driver for more than the market value unfortunately.

If you just want a frame of reference, take a look at the photo below. That was a 15-20mph hit to the back while stopped. No structural damage under all that, no airbag deployment, and it was still an $11k repair. Obviously costs vary a lot between areas, and you'll have to rely on insurance, but this might give you a general idea of what you are looking at. Your initial estimate before they take things apart will be much, much lower. Mine was initially about $5k.

My completely uneducated and most likely incorrect opinion is that you're totalled.

Glad to hear that she is ok.

Can’t answer if it’s totalled or not, but I am impressed with how the Mach-e holds up to a side impact, with not even the passenger window or windscreen broken. Have a watch of the euro ncap crash testing video. It just bounces off the pole test with no crumpling of the roof.
