Misleading... 2023 MMe No foot liftgate, no parking assist... anything else? Any fixes?

I agree, after my liftgate opened unexpectedly several times, hitting the garage door opening once, I turned off that feature. I never actually tried the parking assist, I learned how to park many years ago and that is easier than having the car try to do it for me. YMMV

I had to install the wiring myself based on a thread @markboris made. I don’t have the URL right now. I will look for it and post it later today. ?‍?

EDIT: Mark’s post is here and mine is later in the thread. I didn’t use the wiring Mark purchased and made my own sub-harness. My splicing is in similar places to Mark’s. ??

Yes, it is a setting, it can be set on or off.

My hatch opens randomly while i’m not near the car and i think it might be the sensor?

I’ll go see where the settings are on mine and post tomorrow. That might help. It could also be an update glitch or perhaps a EU difference though I doubt that in this case.

I can count the number of times the kick to open has worked on my job 1 2021 on both hands.

We use it all the time, not perfect but not bad. Almost always opens not as good at closing.

Just so I’m not coming across as a complete dick (which some here might argue that I am, btw), these features never worked well on the Mach-E. So you are not missing much.

I was going to say the same thing (not the dick part). Haven't been able to get the foot switch to work more than maybe half a dozen times in 3 plus years.
