The NHTSA informed me that my 2022 Mach E is may be part of this recall, but Ford's systems don't show it (yet). (Spoiler: It isn't)
EDIT: Note this is not the "Powertrain control module and secondary on-board diagnostic control module c software update" recall. That one is (confusingly) 23S65, this one is 23S56.
Here's what it says on the NHTSA website:
My HVBJB was replaced a couple years ago (before the original 23S56 recall), so I don't know if my MME is actually part of the recall or not. I guess I'll know sometime in the next couple weeks... It is interesting through that NHTSA says there are only 239 units affected, so this appears to be highly targeted. It might just be that this is a paper tiger: Ford just needs to update their paperwork; or it could be that Joy will be getting a new HVBJB, again. I'm really not sure what to think.
Thanks to the always helpful @Mach-Lee, I now know that "it’s because a clerical error was made with the production cutoff date in the original recall. The actual date they switched to the new part was three days later, so the 239 vehicles produced during those three days are the affected population."
So this recall only effects those Mach E Extended Range non-GT trims built between May 25 and May 27, 2022.
If you received the notice from the NHTSA, use their lookup tool to see if your VIN is included.
