I know that a Premium (2WD extended pack) built on 1/12 in the 3428 group did not have acoustic glass (completed in March with chips).

I suspect that the chassis was already in progress during the last week of December and it was "completed" (less chips) on 1/5/2022.

Can you post a photo showing the proof of lamination? Is it something printed on the driverā€™s window itself? Or on the window sticker for the car? I have a 2022 Premium ER RWD that was in production on 1/4 and my driverā€™s side window doesnā€™t indicate it has the acoustic lamination.
Perhaps only the early premium 2022's with AWD got the acoustic glass?

I'm at the dealer now and they're saying they can't do both

I just was at the dealership today to looke at my Premium EX AWD that I'm picking up Thursday. 1/24 Build group and built 3/1. Laminated windshield, but Tempered front door glass.

Just thought I'd add if you wanted another data point.

My dealer honored both X plan, and Pre-January 3, 2022 pricesā€¦and got the $750 credit from Ford promised to us on October 1.

Thanks all! I got the sense they were trying to pull something or being lazy about it regarding honoring the x plan. They said they will speak to their corporate team so I spent 2 hours on the road for nothing.

Let's see what they come back with...

It is really the dealer that has also has price protection from Ford in the process and they are to pass that back to you at the time of the purchase if you are the person that ordered the car on or before 1/3/2022. The dealership has to work with Ford to get reimbursed.

Note: There are two price increases that most of us saw. One was October 1, 2021, the other was after 1/3/2022.

If the order was placed prior to 10/1/2021, there is a $750 credit that you should get to cover the small price changes announced on 10/1 for the 2022 model year as compared to the 2021 model year. The reality for I think everyone is the early 2022's were less money than what the original price for a 2021. In my case, the MSRP went up by $490 when the car was converted from a 2021 to a 2022 on October 1, but the $750 credit that I received actually made our cost for the 2022 go down by $305.

Where it is most complex is on 1/4/2022 the price went up again on all 2022's by $2000-3000 depending on the vehicle. This is what "price protection" is really covering.

When the dealer received your car recently, the dealer actually DID pay the higher 1/4/2022 invoice price to Ford for a 2022 model, however, as long as they sell it to the person that ordered it on or before the 1/3 date, the dealership can apply to get the price protection that was from the date of the order.

If any dealer sells a 2022 to anyone that is not the original person that ordered the car prior to 1/3, the dealership does not get any price protection refund check from Ford. So they don't get to get the lower cost and sell it at the higher cost. If they don't sell it to the original deposit person, they don't just pocket that money.

Probably too late to help, but mine did. They managed to figure out by calling Ford for help.
