We HAVE to do a photo-finish collage or something for our build week right @FrostyICE!?

Let me know if you need any help @Shenred. Most of my experience is in this thread with a couple of other NC ppl. The railcar tracking with Northfolk is pretty simple once you have the cart number. Just call the automated line and it updates as it moves. It was my favorite number for a few weeks.

The difficult part becomes when it leaves the rail cart (the cart has been emptied). It depends on where you are in the state, but the truck to the dealership from the rail car (after it has been emptied) has been on average a week for us. Mattwhoo had the shortest truck wait time, after his rail car was emptied, his car was at the dealership in a day.

It kinda just depends on when the trucks are available to pick up the car and take them to the dealership. The build week two weeks before us also had a couple of NC ppl and their experience mirrored ours (about one week wait time for a truck).

could be motor or ac. probably just sounds of new car breaking in. should be ok to drive. doesn't make any difference waiting for it to go away anyway

It is the AC. When I remote start I notice it when I am approaching the car. It does stop after a few minutes. It's summer in the south and it's hot as *beep* now. My friend who owns a Tesla said that his does the same when it's aggressively cooling.

It's not as bad when I start it in my garage, but when it is outside it can get pretty loud. Made me think for a second....like....wait, does this thing have a gas motor!? ?

Thanks! I have not tracked through the rail company. I did not receive the rail container ID, and I'm not sure if my dealer has it. I reached out to see if they could get the number.

Thanks. I thought that had to go through the dealership.
I reached out to Ford chat. They said it was showing as a rail carrier delay but had a June 13 ETA. They said they could not specify further and said to contact the dealership.

Update: Dealer also says that they have not been supplied with a rail number.

Has been great so far. I am still exploring features and getting to know the car and what it can do.

A gripe I do have is with the shipping and tracking system (VVR) that you (Ford) use. Seems like there is a ton of single points of failure, a scan doesn't happen for some reason, or when a rail car is moved, the location is not updated. There should be automated scanning and tracking of vehicles, rather than relying on a human to do those things, as we all know we are prone to "human errors". The VVR was rarely synced up with what information I was able to glean from Norfolk Southern. I had more information on the location and status of the car then the dealership had at any point in the transit. Luckily, I was able to let the dealer know that my car was ready for final transportation, and he pushed it along to get it delivered quickly so I could pick it up.
