According to chat mine is still in KC rail yard, hasn't been updated since 9/05. Not sure of the problem, but still says ETA 9/24-30. Just a waiting game.

So update, my sales person is not in, his manager is not in but I was told by an individual that my car is on delivery hold with no explanation as to why. This sucks!!!!

You can toss your VIN into here: https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls and see if that explains the delivery hold, it might be the potential rear axle one if you're in the unlucky 500/1100 group affected by this.

Not saying this is the case for yours, but for whatever reason Ford provided a spreadsheet to the rail companies. I do know the first sheet has just over 16,000 VINs on there not sure how many on the second spreadsheet.

My Mach E has been at the rail yard in Mira Loma since 9/12 and when the dealership called late last week to find out why it hadn’t been trucked the 3-5 miles to the dealership the depot said it is being held. They wouldn’t elaborate on it, so I did some digging on my own. Managed to get ahold of the right person at UP who over sees shipments across UP’s rail lines.

This is how I found out Ford sent out a list (spreadsheet). I asked if it listed a recall etc, and he said it doesn’t provide that information only the VINs of units that should be held.

While I am not sure of the reason why, my speculation is to hold it with the train yards so there are no dealerships that might “accidentally” sell it.

The gentlemen was going to reach out to his contacts to see if he could obtain more information or if he could get one to contact me directly with more information.

But just to confirm, my vehicle is NOT on any recall list. So it makes the question of what that list is that has caused mine to get held very interesting.

Mine came in today after sitting around in Winston Salem for 11 days. I got to stop by for a visit, but it won't be ready until tomorrow. I hope everything goes smoothly at the dealership.

Picked it up today. It took the finance guy awhile to get the Ford Options rate from when I placed my order, but he came through. X-plan, $1000 options incentive, & 1.4% rate. I feel like I made out pretty well. The dealership, Beach Ford in Myrtle Beach, was excellent. No chicanery & no BS at all.

Good luck to everyone still waiting. I hope your Mach Es come soon.

The 1.4% rate was a Ford Options incentive for the GT at the time that I placed the order. You should be able to use whatever incentives & rate were available at the time that you ordered, provided they are better than what is available now. They can look it up using something called Smart Vincent. At first the finance guy said he had a 3.9% rate available. I asked him to check the Smart Vincent system for the rate offered when I placed my order. I was their first customer to use Ford Options, so it took them about an hour to figure it out. During this time I test drove the car and the salesperson helped me setup my phone, etc. I was worried that they were playing dumb to try to get me to sign at the 3.9% rate, but that wasn't the case.

Just got my complete your purchase email from Ford. Looked through the financing offers and it’s only showing the 3.9% rate and even with my x plan pin it showed the full current MSRP. Is this normal to see on the ford site? Should I expect to see different options at the dealer?

Well it’s been now been a week at the dealership and still no ETA on the right rear half shaft as mine was part of the recall. Reached out to Ford corporate and escalated to their customer service team. Not sure if there is anything else I can do but what a tease it was having the MME for two weeks and then having take it in for a recall fix. First world problem for sure, just hoping it gets done sooner rather than later. I miss it lol.

@Ford Motor Company anything else I can do to get my car back sooner? It’s been a week and my dealer still has no idea when the part is coming.
Any response from the dealer or Ford? I've been waiting for a week for the part and dealer is saying they still have no ETA, so looking for any way to expedite. Frustrating when some have gotten the part in a day or 2.

From what I have been told by others is do the financing at the dealership so that you get the rate when your ordered and all the correct pricing. Not sure how 100% that is, but maybe someone who has done it recently can chime in

congrats - i know it's been a long wait for you! hoping i'm not too far behind. how long did it take for you to receive convoy/train information? ford chat says mine was picked up from Argentine but strangely has no other tracking data.

I read on the forums about asking the dealer very specifically to check Smart Vincent, which is a tool they have. Some dealers might be on top of this but others may need the reminder.

congrats - i know it's been a long wait for you! hoping i'm not too far behind. how long did it take for you to receive convoy/train information? ford chat says mine was picked up from Argentine but strangely has no other tracking data.
Thanks! Ordered originally in October and order went through in early November so it’s been a VERY long wait haha. So the timeline I have is it arrived in Argentine KS on Sept 1 and left around the 6th. Then I was able to get a BNSF railcar number and was able to track through my dealer and it arrived in Richmond CA last Friday and dealer got it yesterday. Ford chat was pretty useless once it left Argentine and until it was in Richmond they had no updates but dealer was able to track it at each point along that route.

I’m so excited that it’s finally here. Supposed to work out financing with my sales rep on Friday and pick up Saturday so fingers crossed all that goes well.
