I have a ton of GT VINs. Let me run one

@breeves002 ... So this might be bad news. I just ran the VIN for @HuntingPudel who's car I updated a few weeks ago. He doesn't have the ABS as we suspected he wouldn't, but he also doesn't have the GWM, which we both flashed. So that would mean that we flashed 2 modules that are both now removed.

Not too worried about the GWM right now. It shouldn't be a factor. *Shouldn't* being the key word. I am happy to see ABS gone though meaning they did pull it back. Send me his VIN so I can see if maybe by magic he got the 2.1 OTA? Though not sure if Job 2 cars are getting that.

Also, I updated the GWM and blue cruise still worked. I updated the ABS later that night when that was released.

That's reassuring ... I'll DM you his VIN right now

Any implications you guys figure out yet for me (same flashing party as Mr. @HuntingPudel) ?

The issue that Sam and I have is not relevant to the updates you, Steve and I did. This is a mess that we got ourselves in over the last weekend. Your car is all good.

This is a mess Ford got us into when they released wrong software.....I do not blame myself :p. Maybe my own ambition and impatience a little bit though...

They just need to figure out how to get everything to have the same software...Packages which include all modules need to happen. Not just oh 2.1 updates the GWM but 1.4 is the TCU and 1.7.1 is the APIM oh and then 3.0 updates the PCM/SOBDMB/SOBDMC/SOBDM/ABS and 3.1.2 updates the HVAC and 3.1.3 updates the VDM but only GTPE owners get that one.

Like their numbering scheme makes no sense. Need whole versions. This fragmented updating has to stop for this to work. This isn't legacy cars anymore. I don't think they even can keep track of what car has what.
Last time I looked, there were over 400 different calibrations for the 7.3 PowerStroke trucks. Hardware is mostly identical except for a very few differences (automatic vs manual, 4x4 etc). If they had that many variances with a simple diesel powertrain then I can imagine there are all sorts of calibration varieties with these cars since the hardware varies quite a bit. (SR vs EX, AWD vs RWD, 360 Co pilot etc etc)

To be fair they make make incremental updates and have a calibration release. Doesn't mean any or many trucks get it. The old stuff is quite different than the new stuff.

The ABS is likely the same software calibration for all Mach E's - unless they've gotten a newer version of the software and the older car hasn't been updated. The difference is in the as built. That's why Ford went to the as built setup. You don't have to flash whole new software for minor variations in vehicles. All you do is change the config file essentially. All vehicles get the whole software package.

So with help from @benk016 I figured out the difference is the calibration on the ABS. It updated to LK9C-14C602-ME. Current version is LK9C-14K602-KE. The problem is Ford doesn't have those calibration files available for download for some reason on their binaries website. I can download the software but not the calibration. The software did not change in this update just the calibration. note that calibration is different than as built it is part of the firmware/software package on the module.

If I could get that -KE file I could just use FORScan or UCDS to flash the module back. I just wish Ford would release the proper update or let me revert with FDRS...

Is anyone running FDRS 30.5.3? Can't see any way to clear DTCs. Some of the modules cleared their DTCs when they were updated.
Wonder if I need to downgrade FDRS to get back this functionality.

Yes. Theres a bug that when you hit 'view all CMDTCs' it doesn't work from the initial network test page. Hit "self test" in the main menu then hit "view all CMDTCs" from there. Then it will load them and you can hit "clear and retest".

Thanks, that cleared all the DTCs except GWM.
For GWM: U2404 Ethernet Failure with IPMA

The GWM Update is still there, although I've run it already.

If that code won't go away that's a problem. It means the IPMA probably won't update OTA.

Read the thread but still a bit confused. I was thinking of getting a two day license and running updates this week while I’m off work. Should I hold off for now? Or has the issue with the incorrect versions being loaded been resolved in FDRS?
