Read the thread but still a bit confused. I was thinking of getting a two day license and running updates this week while I’m off work. Should I hold off for now? Or has the issue with the incorrect versions being loaded been resolved in FDRS?
Sam probably has the best up to date information. I've been looking in the house every day (did not check today yet), and the situation for a Dec 2020 FE has not changed. I assume if I try the IPC update, for example, it will say turn off power and do nothing, so still broken AFAIK.

yea, same today Sunday Dec 26, 2021, still broken.

It works if you didn't update the ABS already on a later build car but honestly if your car is an earlier build date and you have 21P22 done OR if your car is a later build date you don't need to bother. Nothing substantial for later build cars. Nothing other than 21P22 for earlier build cars.

I cannot get the ABS calibration from Ford for some reason and Ford has not released an update to revert it officially.

Our options are:
1. Wait
2. Go to dealer and wait for them to either replace the ABS module or send the correct software for the VIN
3. Replace the ABS module myself (hahaha no)
4. Maybe somehow get the calibration file from a different MME that is local.

If I’m understanding you, the bad ABS update only impacted later build cars and earlier builds were fine?

It appears that way because it only breaks blue cruise which earlier build cars do not have.

Thanks, I’m an early build (May 21), and I don’t have 21P22 yet, though I did get 1.4, 1.6 and 1.7.1. I have no problem waiting a bit longer, no real issues with the car, I just like to be up to date.

I would go get 21P22 done.

I have an ER RWD Premium that was build in January 2021. When I looked on December 15th, I had an ABS and DSP update. Now I have more. I had a failed Powerup 1.7.1 and a successful Powerup 2.1.0. I have also done CSP 21P22.

ABS Software Update - G2199396-1.0 - This application enables the user to update the module to the latest software level.

GWM Software Update - G2132531-10.0 - This application enables the user to install a replacement module.

APIM Software Update - G2171556-9.0 - This application enables the user to update the module to the latest software level.

APIM Upgrade - G2286160-3.0 - This procedure will recover the SYNC image software using a process called Fastboot Flash. It requires a special driver and USB cable be installed during the process. It should only be run if directed by TSB or other instructions.

DSP Software Update - G2216374-2.0 - This application enables the user to update the module to the latest software level.

It is interesting that the GWM Software Update description makes it appear the update is for replacing a module.

The DSP update is new I think? Or the newest. I wonder what that does.

The GWM update is new, APIM is 1.7.1.

DSP is old. It solves the issue in earlier build cars of having the sound completely stop working until you pulled the DSP fuse or battery negative.

Hopefully there will be documentation from Ford to explain it, but I can see the GWM and APIM updates as one set. What applications are used depends on the state of the APIM with Powerup 1.7.1. The GWM update is only used if the APIM needs replacement. If the normal APIM updating works, then the APIM Software Update is used, otherwise you need to do the APIM Upgrade using Fastboot Flash.

Although my Powerup 1.7.1 failed, the only thing that seems to be missing is the notice at the end. I keep track of firmware part numbers so I can see what changed after the update.

I updated my Mach E GT at ~3pm EST on Dec 21st. I did do the ABS, IPC and TCU upgrades, among others. Unfortunately I had not read this thread until today. Guess what.... BlueCruise doesn't work. I get a "BlueCruise Not Available" message, but no other indication of why. I just tested it after reading this thread....

I suppose the ABS update was removed sometime after we did it on the 21st.

With that said, is it possible the IPC module is the issue? Could it be breaking the driver monitoring camera?

It is possible that the ABS update being done without the IPC is causing the issue but we just don't know.

I did ABS and IPC.
Huh, no one else has been able to get IPC to update but there goes that theory. We just have to wait for the proper ABS update since we can't revert. Or someone needs to go to the dealer...
