Our State of Charge on our 12V Battery is 46% as measured by Car Scanner ODB2 and no Ford dealership I can find has a replacement battery. They all show it as back ordered. Is there a good safe alternative to BHAGM-H3?

An SOC of 46% doesn't necessarily indicate the battery is bad. Search the forum for maintaining your 12v battery. Mach-Lee has detailed the hows and why's to make sure your 12v battery is sufficiently charged.

Is that a one-time reading? Mine was at 38% Wednesday, drove around and now it's 91% (per Ford owner dashboard). Certainly not looking to replace it.

The battery will charge, you don’t replace it when it gets low. ? did you get it tested and it’s bad?

While the car is just sitting, the charging logic waits until the 12V SoC is below 40% before kicking in the charging circuit. If the car is running, the charging circuit kicks in at all times. Note that super-short drives are not long enough in duration to charge the 12V battery from a low SoC, so the SoC may stray downward until it gets below 40%. ??

The charge level you see on the ford website is the SOC of the 12v battery.

What problem are you having that necessitates a new battery? Nothing you've mentioned here seems to.

OTA updates won’t update after downloading. I get messages that it shut down to preserve battery life when starting in the morning. After charging to 90 % and driving for 20 miles, the most SOC I get is 69%.
