How exactly did you 'disable PAAK' ?

- Did you 'force stop' the FordPass App ?
- Do you turn Bluetooth OFF on your phone when you are home ?
- How far is it from kitchen where you hang your Fob to car?
I went into the FordPass app where I guess it was the settings area and just wear phone as a key shows up and since I’m only done it one time I thought it said disable or delete, anyways I got rid of it and now that I got the keys at least 35,40 feet from the car. I don’t see it coming on at night anymore, I didn’t disable FordPass or turn off Bluetooth just moving the keys further way did it. Sorry I was not as precise as you’d like but pretty much just went into the FordPass app and got rid of phone as a key.

Hi,
firstly, I want to say thank you to everyone for your comments and suggestions . I just got off the phone with the head ev tech at the dealer. . I’m in the UK and we don’t have PAAK,
FordPass is set up for location as only one when using the app.
I’ve not had a problem with this much drain before.
Tech confirmed the drain is high now. After I said it went from 89% last night to 41% by noon today. he got to it about 2 pm and it was sitting at 51% so something was happening. He said he was not aware of HVB topping up LBV, unless car is ON (?) But I thought there was some maintenance that happened there automatically unless they had gone into a deep sleep.
i’ve checked MLee’s brilliant checklist . I don’t have anything connected and there’s not a SRM on battery drain. He said he’s going to start checking the fuses to see what might be draining. He had already updated the PCM & BCM modules and replace the headlight switch as it’s a 21build1. So we’ll see tomorrow what happens and they asked me not to be checking the SOC. (understandable) ?

Regarding charging, I don’t use the NOCO anymore, but have a CTEK MXS 5.0 UK and use AGM mode, But haven’t on this new battery that’s just been put in at the dealer. On the previous battery when it showed full, SOC was 98%. I tried the Recond mode, & that took it to 100%. but quickly drained after disconnecting at the same rate. The battery was three years old, so I took it to the dealer, they checked it and replace it and that’s where I am now, with the same drain going on Without an explanation for it yet.
just for giggles, try turning auto-update OFF.

Under the software updates in the car? I wouldn’t wanna do that since I had my car in the shop for three weeks trying to get software updates to come down lol.

interesting....
repeat attempts to receive OTA will definitely 'wake up' the vehicle and if the LV battery voltage is low, the update will not happen; it will just keep trying and failing.

you might want to try leaving your car ON overnight or when your scheduled updates are supposed to happen (with auto-off disabled), which will keep the voltage up, which may allow the update to happen.

No, everything is OK with my vehicle. I just got tired of sitting here watching my car come on at night while I was watching TV. I have a camera and a screen up near my well. Let’s just say I’m a security guy. OK tired of people breaking into cars and stealing stuff. Anyways, I just got tired of the car waking itself up the three weeks they had the car they put a new RFA module in there and I’ve been getting updates and my low level battery stays charged so I just got tired of the car coming on by itself that was all.

Latest update on LBV Drain,
I took my 2021 MME AWD (build 1) into my local UK Ford Dealer at the end of June for a convenience check, to renew FORD Assit and also get my 1st MOT.
While there and I had them check my battery running it on their analyser. They replaced it by warranty even though it passes, at 3 years it was not 100%.
After doing so, they noticed a continual drain on the 12 b battery which they’ve been trying to monitor.
They’ve had the car two weeks now saying they’ve been having issues with the alarm system because the interior motion sensors switched off, because they switch automatically back on after an hour. Checking this against other MME’s in stock, they all do the same thing.
Tech began to think maybe because I have walkaway locking enabled. (enabled with Forscan) That’s not allowed here in the UK due to Thatcham insurance reasons And the fact there is no chirp? allowed with turning on alarms in the UK. Locking and double locking allowed by fob,
App or keypad only. (No PAAK here or in NI) But UK Teslas and some other mfrs have both?
Dealer said if Ford technical support knew that they would void the warranty claim, and perhaps my insurance too. So WAL is temporarily disabled!
Today the dealer tells me they discovered it’s the BCM module that is showing a regular blip on the draw Even after the Cars is gone to sleep. I don’t have the details of how much drain, but I think it’s more than 4% a day after it goes to sleep.

Anybody out there have any idea about this and the BCM module?
It’s been updated when battery was changed and headlight switch replaced in case that was.

Quick question for Mach-Lee. I just had Ford mobile service replace my 12 V battery since I live in CA and it's over 3 years old. I noticed that it was not fully charged after installation according to CarScan - it's around 76% and 12.6 volts after a 5-minute drive. He did reset the BMS and it's reading "0" days after 12V battery reset. Is this a problem? Should I try to charge to 100% by keeping the car on? And if so, do I need to have the BMS reset again? Or should I just let it sit undistrurbed for 8 hours.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

plug the car into charge, when it charges it should top off your 12v battery. You can check 12v battery status by logging onto ford.com site then click on person icon upper right corner, dropdown list select "........account" and this will show you the status of your 12v the last time the car was awakened by fordpass, door open, etc.

Hi

Great forum and post thank you.

Does anyone know where to buy the positive red terminal cover? Or any part number? I can't find it and mine is damaged. Thanks in advance.

Where can I see the 12V SoC percentage?

Unfortunately, the 12V SoC % is not easily accessible to the user. It is not shown anywhere on the screens or in FordPass. It requires an OBD-II scan tool to read. For a limited time, you can view your 12V charge level on Ford's website here.
It appears that this was finally "fixed." I'm seeing my HVB charge level now:

you can check LV%, and LOTS of other stuff if you get a $30 ODB2 reader and free CarScanner app

nice car scanner panel. I don't think that's one of the built in ones, is it? Do you have a thread you might be sharing that in?

I was wondering why all of a sudden my 12v was reading lower than it normally did.
