2023 auto liftgate?

My 23 model has the kick to open functioning fine. I had to install this. It was somewhat complex so you should be mechanically inclined and review the video before attempting it, but it works better than my previous Escape did.

I had it on my 2014 Escape and it worked great. I did in home sales and always had samples to carry. I used it constantly.

when I took delivery of my 23 Premium I stood there kicking the sensor area and nothing happened. I was disappointed and later found out that it didn’t have the feature.

I wish I had video'd my 5 year old granddaughter trying to get the kick to open to work.

It was the second day of ownership and I didn't know the feature didn't exist. So I kept encouraging her. She made moves that I just can't.

I still haven't told her it isn't her doing it wrong. But she's definitely sceptical at this point. ?

Yeah we've had kick to open on a couple of our non Ford cars in the past. Considering how infrequently it worked correctly it was not even worth having. I don't think you're missing much.
