Since it’s speculation…. I think they’ll make Grabber Purple a color. Bring back the brighter, more fun colors.

They definitely will have to address the 5 second performance issue. With tax credits expiring the GTPE will be in the same vicinity as the MYP but significant worse performance.

a heat pump would also be nice

I'm also wondering if there are "non-chip" related changes they might make to improve?....e.g. longer rear wiper, better rear cargo cover, 12V batter access in frunk, option to upgrade suspension on the all models, new paint colors, additional GT wheel options, etc........I guess some of these may have supply issues also.
Just so there is no confusion, supply chain remains a disaster in terms of part availability and cost for most car companies.

They have said they are making changes as they go, and have already implemented $1,000 in cost reductions.

No, I don't think either of those will come to the Mach-E. They cut off orders when they realized that all of 2022's production was used up. I'd expect 2023 production to begin in late Fall, with orders starting a month or so before.
I think your time frame for start of 2023 models is too optimistic. I think there are a lot of orders left to be built. I don't see 2023 models being built until January.

I doubt Ford adds anything at all and I’d be surprised if they didn’t find a way to remove more options. Ford will almost surely run out of the full tax credit by the end of calendar year 2022. Won’t be long after that when the credit has fully expired. Without the tax credit, the Mach E will be significantly more expensive than EV competition from Nissan, Subaru, Kia, Hyundai, Toyota (maybe, depending on Rav 4 Prime and Prius Prime sales). The Mach E is already well into the luxury car price territory IMO and further price increases combined with the loss of tax credits could really slow demand.

I do wonder if they are ending orders so early this year to allow for some production changes. Maybe they add some Lightning features like VTL and/or the lightning on-board charger.
They've sold out all available MME production slots for the model year. The car is stunningly popular atm.

Ford (due to issues largely outside their control) can't produce enough Mach-Es to meet demand for the foreseeable future. I wouldn't expect any significant changes until that is rectified/normalized.

I would be shocked if we saw any major hardware enhancements before MY24. Competition is ratcheting up but the car remains extremely popular. In the meantime, I think it is much more likely that Ford continues to engineer ways to reduce parts and weight…. which is generally a good thing but will probably be strictly under the hood stuff.

I also think we’ll get a few more software enhancements, but nothing that can’t run on the existing 21/22 hardware.

We should see some more battery usable capacity for 2023 i believe, maybe up to 93KWh for the extended Range?

I agree with many of these. I would also like to see the following:

Software:
-Battery pre-conditioning on demand and when navigating to a charger
-Upgraded navigation and routing to include time stopping at chargers, departure SOC to continue the route
-Video streaming in the infotainment (Youtube, Netflix, Disney+)

Hardware:
-200kW+ charging capability (for an extended period of time, not just 1-3 minutes)
- Integrated tow hitch/towing capability
-Ventilated seats
-V2L

I also wonder if the Euro adaptive headlights will be offered on the US Mach-E since they will be legal in the states now.

I'm hoping Ford continues to invest time into the operating system of the car.

I bought a Job 2 vehicle and have only gotten 1 update and that was to make Bluecruise go from 100,000 miles of highway to 130,000 miles of highway.

We kind of have a giant Tesla-esq screen for no reason. We can't do anything on it but use a watered-down version of Microsoft Paint.
