2023 Standard Range LFP

Does anyone have any indication on when LFP equipped vehicles will ship? Would any standard range order from now on will be LFP?

If I recall, when this was announced they said "mid-year."

They will probably end up going into the 2024 model year Mach-E's that will start being built in November 2023, assuming the timeline hasn't been pushed back.

Why are you so eager for LFP? They're not a new technology. There's a reason why Li has dominated the US market. The only reason Ford and others are entertaining LFP is to increase battery supply and build more BEVs. They do have a few advantages (along with many disadvantages), but not enough to prefer them. There's also a reason why US market cars will only use LFP in the lower level trims.

The tesla LFP vehicles seem to perform well. I like the increased cycle life and capacity usage. The temperature management system will take care of the cold weather issues.

That ship has either sailed or close to sailing depending on order lead time from now on. Its unclear with added production capacity how much if any the order delivery time decreases. I'm also waiting to get A-plan as for some reason, its not offered for Canadians
