Only if we had a before and after module list. I don't see the OTA dashboard.
You guys have been running lots of these (thanks go out to all) and now I have one pin. You could take the worse ones and monitor them. Did me a favor and most you did will have no problems letting you track what modules get updated with what OTA for them. That would be one way to shed some light of what is under the hood of OTA's.

Am I wrong to worry that Ford is going to cut off all OTAs when they do a model refresh (2024? / 2025?) and just leave everyone hanging?

Maybe that even happens when they switch over to Android Automotive sometime on 2023?

Guessing bad suggestion and mostly just a slam feast? Thought I read that it is all about helping community? 1.7.1 appears to be getting resolved and I did not hear to many problems with the ones that were lucky enough to get a flurry of 2.8's. Hoping that is the case. Obviously their was some hiccups but I presume not the end of the story. We will wait and see.

I assume you are joking, because there are threads everywhere about OTAs starting.

OTAs that "move the ball forward" a bit. OTAs that catch up all late Job 2s with the Job 1 cars that have had CSP 21P22 that the Job 2 cars didn't get.

Wouldn't it be great for an OTA that fixed wireless (iPhone) charging or driver seat and mirror profile issues or the PAAK problems. They could send that out as an OTA for just about everybody who owns a MME. Just as a general fix that would apply to all cars.

I see those listed for nearly every VIN I check.

So not tons of threads, but one: https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/ota-power-up-2-8-3-for-2021-job-2-cars.19223/

It is starting finally for Job 2 cars.

WACM is FDRS only so that is a definite dealer trip.

Think I would give it up. I frowned at some that went after this thread in the middle but starting to understand.

That was my understanding that "most" could be OTA'd but not all and that is what I assumed would be brought up during services. Maybe naĂŻve but in this day and age plausible. It is what the sales pitch led me to believe at the beginning away. No whining required just my car gets smarter over time.

And at the risk of getting flamed for not knowing....I have no idea what an OTA "2.8.2" on a '21 Job 2 car does anyway. Is it the same as 2.8.2 on a Job 1 car like it says here? My confidence is not high that it's the same thing.
2.8.2 for Job 2 was basically just a GWM update. It was supposed to be prepping the car for future updates. As we know, it had to be replaced rather quickly with a new GWM because 2.8.2 broke things.

The number of modules updated via OTA is probably 5% of what's been released in total. It's not a large number. Yes, as was mentioned earlier the plan and the sales pitch was to have 100% OTA. We aren't even close to that even if we are seeing them getting rolled out.

In the middle of this thread the issue was the conflation of people wasting their time and money going to dealers to get a recall that they didn't get, with OTA. There was never a doubt that Ford is rolling this out OTA. But there's a lot of poor souls that wasted their day getting a bunch of nothing, thinking they got something.

So GT gets 2.8.2 just to wait for more to come later? This whole thing is being handled so amateurishly.

Yes 2.8.2 broke charging data via a bad update to the GWM. They fixed it a while after with another OTA with some long number. I have another thread dedicated to that.
