Just so everyone knows it can take 24-48 hours for FDRS to reflect a change made by the OTA system. It's not immediate unless a physical scan is performed.

When I go to the system update menu in the my car it just says in Update Details "Your system is up-to-date". Where can I find a list of all the updates that have actually been downloaded to my vehicle? Shouldn't there be a way to see access this info in my vehicle?
There have been none on GT's up till this recall.

My question was is there a location in my vehicle's menu where I can look up a list of all the updates that had been downloaded?

Negitive. You can only see what's currently on the car. Historical updates logs are not a thing unless you have the tools used by dealers and some of us.

Brought my car in today for software recall and multitude of software still open on my car as I have never received any OTA’s

service advisor said, well, with all this you may not get your car back today. My response was, I don’t care, I want everything updated. They Kind of didn’t want to do it but I explained these software patches will fix some of the issues I have, such as phone over heating when wireless charging etc. basically they only wanted to fix if I said I was having a problem with something. I got the impression they didn’t consider software not downloading a problem.

I gave her the list of open software that needed to be uldated as kindly provided to me by
I was thinking of doing the same and will be interested in the outcome. My bug fix list runs long.

My I 11 gets real hot once and a while also. Like when I grabbed it when I got back today. I have plugged in and charged because of it. You touch the back of their big monitor? It runs hot to sometimes. If there is a fix you think you would get it? OTA eventually?

I see you haven't gotten a response yet so I ran your VIN again. You are currently showing the exact same updates available as when I ran your VIN on the 9th.

Assuming the OTA update fairy ?‍♀ delivered...these are the module updates that should have been done and the versions as they now are shown in FDRS:

PCM MJ98-14C204-AXK
BECM NJ98-14C197-AE
SOBDM LJ98-14F476-AU
SOBDMB LJ98-14H297-DE
SOBDMC LJ98-14G069-AXH

I ran another VIN this morning for a member who also had the OTA ?‍♀visit and from that I was able to compare the module list from a previous VIN check to determine what modules got updated.

Mike
Thanks MikeB! This whole episode is really confusing and aggravating. I see that Ford has already been sued as the software update is not really a fix. I see a class action suit coming. Ford should bite the bullet and replace the defective units (under engineered) with the correct units. It will probably be as expensive if not more than windshield/panoramic glass fiasco . I’m starting to think maybe I should have looked at a Tesla instead.

Agree ... Kinda like that tooth that I broke skateboarding when I was 12. Now in my 30's I've had 3 root canals done on the same tooth because they can't seem to get it right the first 2 times. Very aggravating!

I was thinking about the same thing last night. Ford seems to have missed a trick by not keeping a list of associated updates on the vehicle either on an associated tab on the car or on the Fordpass app. All I see when I pull up system updates is the update for the BlueCruise setup that was put in by dealership when they delivered the car back in March. I can't imagine that nothing has come through since then on 2021 Premium models.

Only basic updates, and some important recalls like this one are coming OTA. These module updates are generally only available to us if we have a related issue on the car or you know someone who can apply it, or a very liberal dealer. I have none of those myself, so I was quoted $200 per update by my greedy dealer, and by Ford's lack of paying the dealer to simply update the car when updates are available for modules. in any case, it stinks.

They only see MMEs when there's a problem. The 10K service costs between 22-29$ on average depending on location from what I've seen posted.

They aren't making money on oil changes, "tune ups", and for most people they don't even get to work on the brakes that often.

So when they see a MME roll up to the service lane they know they aren't going to make much money.

So it's "Meh, another Mach-E to deal with".

Mike
Here in EU, Norway to be more specific Ford has said that service is every 2 years independent of miles/km..

You sir are a victim of the classic "Job 2 hell" syndrome.

'21 Job 2s don't get any love and no OTAs either apparently. And I guess you don't have any Mongoose buddies there in MD either.

This is an impressive list:

I just got 2.8.2 ironically, but no recall, and none of the modules. My dealer won't allow me to get any updates on the above list, although I'm going to try a different dealer and approach. So, where does one go to update their Mach e? This is really quite sad. Why are these updates by Ford for use only when there is a problem reported? I wouldn't have bought this car if I had know that was their policy from the beginning.

Anyone in Maryland near DC have an updating side business?

It's very similar to my version of Job2Hell.
Some of them are included in 21P22 program that service should apply during a visit for the recall. It will leave me with 10 that are not cover - don't know if I'm willing to pay for them, unless it's really in donuts

Well...actually this isn't new....they are only supposed to do updates using warranty labor allowances when the customer comes in with a complaint that they can tie to a specific module update as the solution.

So you would have to complain that your iPhone is getting very warm but not charging effectively to get that WACM updated. As an example...

Then I plan on having 17 complaints. Well 18 if you count how Ford does business.
