Just picked it up. All went well at the dealer. Only minor glitch was they will need to send me a check for the $325 park assist rebate when Ford sends it to them. Blast to drive!

Is it confirmed that Ford will send dealers the $325 for the park kit? I thought it was only price protection they do that for.

My invoice showed the 325 credit on it applied at the dealer instead of me receiving a check later. I unfortunately didn’t qualify for price protection as I wasn’t the original order owner, took over a cancelled one.

Well, that's what they told me and they did provide me a promissory note that says they'll send it to me, if Ford sends it to them. They have been very above board about everything and were transparent about price protection and that they give me the correct price and get reimbursed later. Their concern was with X-plan which is carefully monitored and they didn't want to do something that would show up on an audit. I work in a heavily regulated industry so was sympathetic. The said they talked to their rep at Ford and they were confident that Ford would settle up with them and they would then settle up with me. I'm actually not too worried given the overall positive experience I had with them (and now I have the car and have more things to spend time on than worrying about the $325--like how I can deal with the car not connecting to my Verizon Fios wifi, about which there are a few threads I believe...).

Like others my old NS train car left Newark and I've been stranded in Newark without a status since Thursday. United Road still shows my order as inactive. They have an order # for my VIN but I've seen elsewhere that this might be a red herring and UR might not even be the carrier? I can't seem to find another carrier that does the Newark-Upstate NY run, so prob will just have to hang tight some more. @NJ_MachE, you made it sound so smooth once we were unloaded, but not sure it is always like this, alas.

Dealer has been oddly unresponsive as of late and all these horror stories about ADM, etc are getting me nervous. Ford can't transition to online fixed pricing fast enough. Feels like we are all getting caught between a dinosaur system of cheap salesmanship and the systematized, transparent online economy. We are the last of our kind.

@rlawsen5000 my CR1 was built in the same week as you but mine didn’t leave Mexico until 5/9. I think I passed you in KC and arrived in Newark on 6/3. I was tracking it on UR everyday but kept getting the inactive but received a call from the dealer on 6/9 that it had arrived. It still showed as inactive on UR. I asked the dealer if they knew what was going on and was told that it was delivered by someone different.
the worst part for me was that I called the dealer on 6/3 when NS said it was in Newark, and the dealer vvr said it was in KC and would not be here until 7-12.
Good luck I’m sure you will get a call any day now.

Train finally made it to Norfolk Southern's auto distribution facility in Ayer, MA! Hopefully it doesn't take forever to get it trucked to the dealership. Delivery estimate ford gave was June 23-29, so pretty close I'd say.

Couldn’t have the DMG Select getting lost in the parking lot, so had to add the AOSK side louvers. Got the plugs for the 12v access panel mod on Amazon too. Time to tinker!

Yes. And it was counted as part of the amount I put down when I did Ford Options.

Wow, this has been a Master Class of MME order-to-delivery bullshit but I'm glad you got the car! I'm trying to hitchhike out of Newark. UR has me listed / inactive but my dealer has used them before; My dealer got a bunch of broncos, mavericks and 150s a month ago. My surveillance move is now checking UR's site and driving by my dealer once per day and scanning their lot. Based on the recent history of others passing through Newark; I should get the car this week. I suspect it's going to be next week and Ford is still telling me Late July so I'm expecting the worse. Finally able to log on to the tracker, I guess my question is now I move to tracking rail train/car right? I couldn't find how to do this if anyone has info on who to call the car will be coming to California which I think affects the company shipping it? Thanks for any help
