4/11/22 build week chat

OK, I have a confession to make. I might have called the Norfolk Southern automated line more than once today. Turns out they do a very nice job of frequently updating the location of the railcars. Looks like it went from Harrisburg to Reading to Allentown today. Let's see what happens tomorrow and over the long weekend. It really is quite amazing to follow the 4/4 group and see how much ahead of us they are--more than one would have thought given their being only a week ahead build date-wise. So many have their cars at this point, which is great.

The 4/4 Build group are 4 weeks ahead of our 4/11 Build group, seeing as most of our cars were in production or parts hold until being built and shipped 04 May. Some of our 4/11 Brothers/Sisters are still “In Production “

I just confirmed my memorial day weekend plans on Ramp P. Its going to be 90 there on Sunday-- call it 110 degrees on the tarmac. I'm liking Ramp P much better than Ramp R. This has been a pure joy.

Looks like My MME has been hanging out in Allentown, PA since Thursday and probably will be stuck there over the holiday weekend. Not sure if it’s waiting for the train to get to NJ or if it gets here via truck from Allentown.

Seems there has been some additional progress over the weekend. I couldn’t quite make out the first few words of the automated Norfolk Southern message but after searching google using Norfolk Southern and some terms I could hear it appears my car is at the Doremus auto terminal in Newark NJ. I guess it has to wait for a truck to take it to the dealer. Could be anywhere from a few days to a few weeks I gather.

Car has been picked up and is at home! My salesman told me fords system still shows the status as ramp 6R in Missouri. Obviously wrong so there is hope for everyone else starting to get calls soon!

I’m NGL - slightly jealous your guys will honor X-Plan. My dealership has been a hard no from the start on that, but I’m saving about that much in taxes based on ordering outside of the major city here in the PNW.
