I think all the GTs that recently received a Built email or haven't received one yet, don't really have anything additional to worry about. The recall is said to only effect cars built before May 25th. Since mine is still at the factory and won't even be here for another 2 months, one would hope they will perform the recall before they ship me the car (which may be why it's taking so long).
How quickly fortunes change in the world of buying an MME. It was not long ago you were complaining about the delays. You're good. Cheers.

I have to say, as much as I'm excited to have a new car (and it really is a blast), I didn't really need one right now. I would have preferred having this dealt with at the factory, with the new and improved parts in from the start rather than having to deal with this recall. If it meant I get my car a few months later, so be it. I can only imagine how complicated this will be now for the dealers (and for us). My dealer is one of the higher volume ones in this area and has not had to replace a HVBJB yet. I think they have sold well over a hundred at this point and given that their service dept also deals with all of the other cars they have, how many can they realistically replace over the next several months? I'm guessing it will take 6-12 months before I can get my car "fixed," but maybe I'm wrong. I also don't want to be one of the first they work on.

Honestly I would much rather have my car already and be worried about it dying on me, but to have it on the road (or even delivered) and not be able to purchase it is the worst right now!

But yeah I'm just making lemonade outta lemons the best I can ? :D

Ford chat has been telling me my car had been entirely produced since the date of my "In production" on tracker (4/19).. And the built update on the 10th was when the car actually physically shipped. I confirmed my car did leave the plant yesterday and was about 20 min away at a rail yard. Hopefully they have a fix by the time our cars arrive to the dealers but I am pretty sure all of us "newly built" GTs did not get any new part.

I just put a $250 deposit on a Model Y performance as a backup. It's worth the $250 sunk cost for the reservation. I don't have the luxury of waiting blindly until potentially Q4 or Q1 of next year if things don't go as planned. Man, that Tesla order process was easy. I did it during an elevator ride. We have no idea how sideways this MME recall/fix thing may go. We have virtually no details. This could correct itself fast and easy or become a slow bumbling meltdown with tons of unexpected problems and complications. I have an August-October delivery estimate on the Tesla.

According to some updates it looks like the fix may be an OTA update to the software.. Fingers crossed that is true so it is hopefully a quick fix!

Been reading here for months now. It’s time to post.
GT order placed 1/25/22; Batch 5303, build week was moved to 4/11/22 from 4/4/22. Went in Production 4/19/22. Original ETA was 6/5-6/11.
Finally received emails that car was Built 6/10/22 and shipped 6/13 with ETA 8/2-8/8 to the dealer.
With this latest recall situation, wondering when it will arrive. Based on the Ford recall website, my VIN is not affected, but I’ve read enough on here to know better. Keeping fingers crossed for all of us in 4/11/22!
Those 4/4/22 build week guys had Horse Shoes. Insanely fast production, builds, and shipping.

Weird, I saw mine driving all over the factory floor yesterday and into today. I would have assumed they were doing something in there? Now it's just sitting on a charger at 100% in a corner of the factory. At this point I've lost serious faith in Ford. I get there's supply issues but this whole process has been a nightmare.

True, but they will all likely have to deal with a recall that could painful if it involves replacing the HVBJB. My VIN is affected.

I know we all have different needs etc, but I would have preferred getting mine fixed at the factory. Will be a huge pain for me to deal with this at some point, and I'll be driving it not knowing if I'll get stuck.

What's frustrating is that getting a new PN approved for production is no easy task. If the new part was deployed as of 5/24, it was definitely near complete while most of this group hadn't even entered production. Yet they still decided to ship and sell the cars anyway.

At least the 4/4 were able to take delivery of their vehicles. It looks like some of our 4/11 group won’t be able to even take delivery once they arrive at the dealer. I called Ford Chat. My VIN is affected as well. ‘22 Select AWD.

Did you guys see what Karl from Ford Communications posted on Twitter? ... Not sure how there is no stop sale when the letter to the dealers clearly says so

He was definitely being pedantic. This was a later reply:

Not a good look to be honest.
