I know, I know lots of posts on this, but my 21 GTPE is going to get its second replacement HVJB which I'm told is an improved part over the original and the first replacement. I just want to know if there is any chance that the 5 second limit could be extended a few seconds with this more robust part, just trying to get what I thought I paid for. I understand that the current models don't have this limitation? Just a pipe dream I suppose.

You can hope ….curious if you see an improvement with the latest “C” version HVBJB . But real improvement is a 2024 with the upgrade.

interesting that that many EV manufacturers are now requiring similar revisions .

I held on hope longer than most.

But I’ve given up hope at this point. Ford seems to have moved on from the 2021 models. They can’t even get us a Bluecruise update that was promised a long time ago. Seems they just have other priorities.

Heck, my car still hasn’t gotten an OTA update since August of 2023 and they can’t figure that out.

If you want to go faster, you’ll have to buy a 2024 or 2025.

FWIW, the HVBJB and the power limit weren’t really related. Ford didn’t figure out the weakness of the HVBJB until way after they put the limit in. And all models (not just GT) burned up the HVBJBs.

Thanks for the information, that's what I wanted to know. I would have considered trading, but a column shifter?? But finally vented seat!

I think you're going to see a LOT of column shifters coming. Almost all new car reviews I watch (especially EVs) are starting to get column shifters. I'm torn on it. Never used one, but it looks clunky and in the way... at least at a glance.

And this 5 second thing isn't a 2021 issue. It's not like the 2023s have had it removed either. I don't love it, but it very rarely affects me - and I even autocross mine. At this point I'm just keeping my eyes open for something more fun. Oh... and for the 2025s and the ventilated seats - supposedly they won't be on the GT. It's expected to have the same seats it does now.

I was in the same OTA condition until late September of this year. I suddenly started receiving updates after 13 months of nothing and continue to receive them. Up to 6.14 now. I had the same issue in that my Mach kept losing its communications with the server.

No vented seats in the GT, just in the Select and Premium. 2024s have the crummy rotary shifter. 2025s have a colum shifter. Pick your poison. 2024s have a resistive heater, 2025s have a heat pump. Due to the heat pump, 2025s have a significantly smaller (~40%) frunk tub. ??

I got a 2024 with a metal roof. ??

I'm not necessarily crazy about the rotary shifter, but I do like the location better than on the column. Didn't realize no vented seats on the GT. So no limit on 24 and 25 GT's? Heat pump would be good for my location. Thanks

The 2024 and 2025 still have a limiter, it’s just past the quarter mile and past the time it takes to get to the governed top end of the car. ??
