We've been applying ppf to the frontal surfaces of our vehicles for 6+ years now and the only few on the hood are above the ppf and one down low that actually tore the ppf on the Volt.

These days it's SOP for me to get ppf on any new vehicle ASAP. Just sayin'.

I got my MME last week and 30mins after receiving it I was in the shop to PPF the front. Been doing this for a few years with all my cars. May do the rest of the car in the coming weeks.

I have a couple of small cuts in the PPF from rocks. Those would have been bad paint/plastic damage if the PPF weren't there.

I have several chips on the front of mine. For comparison, it took about three years for my Porsche Cayenne to get half as many chips as my MME has gotten in nine months.

The Caynne has some plastic but not as large of a cross section - it is more arrow shaped than the MME. That probably has a lot to do with it.
