Did 80% when I got the car but have been doing 90% for a little over a month. No issues and with a longer commute I like the buffer.

What is the general consensus for daily charging?
Clearly there is no “general consensus.”

Do what you think you’ll need.

When you had a gas powered car, did you top it off at the gas station daily?

When I first got the car, I charged every day. I very quickly realized there’s no need for me to do that.

After 10 months of ownership, the lowest I’ve been is 55%.

I charge to 85%, which is close to 80% of the battery’s gross capacity. I charge once or twice a week. ??

When you want to play with it as a toy you can baby it and charge as little as you like. When you decide it’s time to drive it as a car you charge up to 80, 85, 90, 95 or 100% and go. Charge to what you need. Don’t be afraid to use it. Get over the anxiety of it…

I charge to 80% at home and 90% at work. I lower the home percentage because sometimes the car sits for a couple days without being driven, and 80% is better than 90% in that situation. Percentages will probably go up in winter as more battery is needed.

I charge to 90% when not planning to go out of town and plug back in if the charge drops below 80%. I know I don't need 80-90% for around town driving, but I do it in case I have to go out of town on short notice.

Within and hour or two I can get the car up to 100% or I can just leave at 80%+ and it will easily get me to my first DCFC stop. I had to make an emergency trip because of my dad's health and since then I just keep the car between 80 and 90%.

I charge to 100% when going out of town.

When I first got the car, I charged every day. I very quickly realized there’s no need for me to do that.
After almost three years of EV ownership, I still charge them both every night.

I don't want to wake up needing to take an emergency trip and have to immediately deal with a 20-40 minute DCFC session.

The Bolt goes to 80% every night and the Mach e goes to 90% every night.

I have mine set to charge to 90% per the manual, but there are times in mild weather where I won't necessarily plug in and recharge every night.
