My Mach-E just rolled over 100k a few days ago and thought I would share my experience so far.

First, the only money I've spend on maintenance is $1400 for a set of new tires. As you can see, the car still looks almost brand new. The only wear and tear I've noticed is paint chipping from the steering wheel buttons, cracks in the transmision select wheel, and minor cracks on the driver's seat upholstry. All car washing has been done at home, no outside car washing.

The only issue I've had to deal with since the beginning is the pulsating break issue that was outlined in a TSB. I had the rotors resurfaced and replaced and the pads replaced a few times, under warantee, with no resolution thus far, so I will be replacing the pads with aftermarket ones that will hopefully solve the issue.

Car Scanner reports that the HVB is at 92% capacity and my original LVB is still running at 48% capacity. I'm planning on replacing that before the end of the year.

Charging is estimated to be 90% of the time at 90% state of charge at LV2 at home. Road trips are few and far between, maybe twice a year where LV3 DC charging is necessary.

Nice, I have almost 70K on mine and it still is in great shape as well. My button looks like your but my shift knob isn't cracked. Now that I'm retired and do consulting from the house it may be another 3 years before I hit 100K. This has been a great car for me. I still absolutely love driving it and the few road trips I've taken and been event free. Had all my recalls completed with zero problems. I do get the camera fault on occasion and suspect it's at the mirror connection but haven't messed with it yet. Only maintenance on mine has been tire replacements

I remember a Youtube review where he had worn off the "next track" button in a similar fashion. I'm now careful not to rest my fingers there, but hoping Ford has upgraded the finish to be resilient to "hand salsa" on more recent models lol.

Nice color! (I have a 2023 Rapid Red premier). I also wash my vehicle at home using a corded electric power washer. One thing I noticed is the rotors always rust the next day after washing or if it rains. I usually put it in neutral and do a hard brake to remove the rust. I would recommend getting Powerstop drilled and slotted brakes and rotors. I put these on my 2000 Honda Insight 2 years ago and drive in the winter of NE Ohio and there is no rust. I also replaced all the rotors and brakes on the wife's 2017 Jeep Trailhawk last September and there is no rust. Get the drilled and slotted because it's a different alloy than the regular Powerstop rotors. I had the regular ones on my 2014 Chevy Volt and they did rust, not as bad as most rotors however.

I'm not sure, I haven't thought that far ahead. Anything is better than the OEM pads that I have at this point. All three sets of pads have produced the same problem.

Is it normal to have to replace rotors/brake pads? I was told you wouldn't have to do it until 150K (or a very long time) if you use 1PD. Did you use 1PD?

No it's not normal. If you find the old TSB you'll see there was a manufacturing defect with the brake pads, I got 2 bad sets, and was assured that the 3rd set was the newer designed pads, but apparently was not the case.

Ah Ok, thanks for quick reply. Is 150K a trustworthy number to assume? I'm on a 2023.5 so it sounds like those issues should have been worked out by now.

I would assume so, but I'd be a bad person to ask since I haven't had a good set of pads.

1PD or 2PD will make no difference in brake pad/rotor wear. They both use the exact same blended (regen and physical brake) system.

With EVs, tires are the new oil change... and software updates are the new tune up.

12v AGM batteries... well... not any better.
